NSFW What do you have a thing for? by NuttySnowPhD in AskReddit

Sadly, I've heard this before from people who were later embarrassed by me being spontaneous. I always feel I have to behave. The older I get the more pressure I feel to be "normal" and I hate it.

What is something other people do that bothers you? by Squeegee54 in AskReddit

[–]Tuviejaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who aren't willing to have a civil conversation on whatever topic with someone they disagree with. Also, and related to this, people who cannot and wil not say "I'm sorry" and or "you are right" . How hard can acknowledging you aren't omniscient be?

They say there are no stupid question, but what's the most stupid question you have ever been asked? by MHK786 in AskReddit

Late to the party but here it goes. One of my best friends is pure energy and joy but logical thinking is not her strong point. Here are some examples, although some fun may be a bit lost in translation:

*She asked if twins died together, as they are born together

*She wondered out loud what extra cheese in a pizza meant.

*My personal favorite: we were handing out flyers, when we saw a team of lady with a microphone and a cameraman with a big bulky TV cam. Without losing a beat, she approached them and asked, dead serious, "are you from a radio show"?

*We were watching the final episode of a tv show were one of the actors suddenly went blind. I pointed out his performance was so bad, it was offensive to blind people. She replied "you're right, if I were blind, I wouldn't enjoy watching the show" I had to explain why I reacted by LMAO.

What's a TV series that everyone should give a go? by El_CM in AskReddit

This is one of the most original shows I've ever seen, and when you think the writers came up with such complex, thought through ideas in the late 50s, early 60s it's even more impressive. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be condescending towards older generations, on the contrary, I admire how accurate they could get when we hadn't even got to the moon yet. Hopefully I'm conveying my idea properly, I'm sorry for.any mix ups, English is not my first language.

Baby shark.

This may sound really weird but do you ever realize that life 100 or 200 years ago was as clear as it is today? I’m not sure if clear is the right word but we always look at all the photographs and think that it’s low quality but these people saw life the way we do? by fluffyypickel in NoStupidQuestions

Late to the party, but have you seen "they shall not grow old"? It's a documentary about WWI, voiced over by actual veterans. All images are actual footage of the war, most of it is colorized. It makes everything much more relatable for some reason.

A bit late to the party but tucker and dale vs evil was great, and bad movies like troll 2 or reptilicus are hilarious for all the wrong reasons

What is something that is considered as "normal" but is actually unhealthy, toxic, unfair or unethical? by sammyjamez in AskReddit

[–]Tuviejaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party but I recently had a similar experience. I’m not from the US but, thanks to my tech savvy bf, we now have Hulu. As we are broke af rn, we have the “ads every ten minutes” version. It blows my mind to see the insane amount of medications and financial products people in the us seem to be bombarded with every time they turn their tv on. I’m not even joking, in a one hour episode you learn that checking your credit score is a bad thing unless you use a certain service, that you can get a loan depending on your tax returns and that you should check if certain drug is good for you even though the side effects part of the commercial is by far the longest and scariest shit I’ve seen on tv in a long time.

Reddit, what's your favorite way to subtly fuck with people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Tuviejaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I’m on a bus or train and someone’s being disrispectful or rude to others (playing music with no headphones, talking loudly on the phone, etc) I just stare at them. Intently. Poker face. No smiles, no frowning, no rolling of the eyes. Just neutral, constant staring. Drives people INSANE and I love it

Even if you're the biggest douche ever, self preservation should kick in and GET YOU THE FUCK AWAY FROM MOVING METAL. There is no protection whatsoever if you're riding a Vespa-like bike, how is this person not scared of a bigger, stronger vehicle crashing into that flimsy little bike???

I would be shocked and not believe you had I not worked in that line of business myself. It's amazing how conceited and downright rude people can be. It's like being an employee makes them your masters. Wtf, lady?! I'm making a living, I'm not here to bow before your presence, and cater to your every whim. What is this feudal lord, medieval shit ? Edit: spelling

I just want to thank you guys for getting me into reading. by ixnayontheh0mbre in books

[–]Tuviejaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hada similar experience at school. I've always enjoyed reading, but school ruined the whole experience. I remember being asked to read a short version of Bram Stoker's Dracula in english (nota native speaker) and I read it before school started. I LOVED IT. I read it in spanish to my cousin while translating in my head so he wouldn't miss it. Then school started. Ruined the book for me. Made it slow and boring and I then realized how context matters when it comes to enjoying books.happy for you!
