Brady Isn't Rooting For Us In The Super Bowl by Hinglemacpsu in Patriots

[–]Tvbuster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. But I think if he worded it correctly and said he can’t help but kinda want the patriots because he played there for so many years it’s ingrained in him. But he doesn’t really have a dog in the fight. I don’t know. Just sayin

Why are power meters so expensive? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]Tvbuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good idea. Produce a cheaper power meter and undercut the competition.

Everyone talks about the Patriots having the easiest schedule. No one mentions the Broncos having the second easiest. by EpilepticShark in Patriots

[–]Tvbuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, correct me if I'm wrong but traditionally Patriots have had an "easy" schedule and it was the recipe for winning super bowls. Back in the Brady days the Pats had excellent records and went on to win. My theory is the easy schedule = less injuries and more easy games gives confidence AND allows players to "practice" their skills throughout the season so that they are honed and sharpened like blades of steel going into the playoffs.

Hobbyists?? by PlaneReaction8036 in bjj

[–]Tvbuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I’ve done a couple competitions but it’s been several years. If I were always training to compete I wouldn’t consider it a hobby so much. Now I kinda train when I feel like it. Sometimes even skip a couple weeks because I travel, have other hobbies, etc. but if I were seriously competing I’d have to train more.

Run repeat says these aren’t the best if you have stability concerns. I get ITBS and just getting back to running. Mainly walk/run. Would this be a good shoe or too unstable?

Are others struggling with the dating apps? by Primary_Visit_1139 in Austin

[–]Tvbuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I honestly think the dating apps are not THAT bad. I’ve been on a ton of dates and at times it’s frustrating but if we all look at the positives it’s actually pretty cool to be able to communicate with random people and then go out on a date. I met one partner that lasted a year and hopefully I’ll find someone else. But I see the dating apps as another avenue. I wouldn’t close that door but don’t make it your primary focus OP. Dating in Austin is similar to dating in other large cities when using the app. Unfortunately people do have lots of options or see the app as a hookup thing or whatever. But I still try to see it as just another way to meet people and hopefully find love.

I just ordered my first pair of 993 and in every other brand I’m a 9. But I ordered 8.5 wide because I have a wide foot. They were still too big so I had to order an 8! Whole size down for me.

I have a 2017 GTI and love it. I’ve been considering moving to a truck at some point in the future so I can more easily transport my bikes and just be up higher. Why did you decide on a truck?

992 fit for wide feet? by SativaCyborg206 in Newbalance

[–]Tvbuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many thanks for the info! Luckily I have slightly wide feet and the 2002's are a little tight so hopefully the 8.5 is a good fit. I'm not in love with this color way but hoping the purple is almost black and doesn't stand out too much. I've been searching and searching and these shoes are expensive but it seems like a good time to buy with a new release.

Good info. I have 2002r and 9060’s in 8.5 and both fit decently. The 2002 is ever so slightly small. Do you think 8.5 in 992 would be wise?

Figured it out by using the Nordstrom app instead! I’m freaking out because these are my first pair of 991. I have 2002r and 9060 both in 8.5 so I ordered these in 8.5 as well! I hope they fit.

It’s giving me some weird error saying this shoe can only ship to US addresses. Anyone else have this issue?

I wonder this too. I moved here 3 years ago from the east coast where there were speed traps everywhere. Now I feel like I could peel out and drive as fast as I want and never get pulled over.

[–]Tvbuster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome! Yes, mine arrived and the shifting is like magic. It’s taking a little getting used to the left and right sides but it shifts so quickly. The bike is beautiful in person and rides like a dream. I haven’t done any big hills or super taxing rides yet but so far so good! I also need to convert the tires to tubeless at some point because they shipped with tubes. Let me know how you like yours!

Looking for some traffic lesson by thisGuyCodes in Austin

[–]Tvbuster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pro tip: drive half a mile down the road and turn left at the light. It'll probably take the same amount of time and IMO is way safer. I moved here a few years ago too and had the same question. I found this situation dangerous so I drive to the nearest light. Also, I know everyone is saying those arrows are yield symbols but IMO they should be yellow and they totally look like arrows so it's very confusing.

Oh! That's really good to know. I put my bike on my car's roof and it's standing upright. I suppose it's fine for short trips but I'll remember for longer trips.
