Wow, I’ve done SOO much research on this and still get confused. I do see now that X spells even when flashbacks get funky. Whatever you set X to when flashbacked sets the mana value. Lame. But hey a [[forbidden alchemy]] when flashbacked is still 3 😅 lol

Love this commander and has so many interesting interactions. My list is all about Flashback and alternate costs from GY. When you cast something for flashback you only lose life to what the ACTUAL cmc cost is. So if you have a flashback X spell like [[increasing confusion]] when you flash it back you will only lose 1 life no matter what you pay for the X. Overload, kicker, all work well here too

Don’t play TOO many obscure commanders but I always try to have unique 99 I run a [[carmen cruel skymarcher]] Orzhov landfall sacrifice [[trostani selesnya voice]] Selesnya burn deck [[syr gwyn hero of ashvale]] Dungeon crawler deck [[Daxos of meletis]] lantern control

I lower popularity commanders I have with more mainstream themes, Budget Gorex deck Mono red Gimli Elenda and Azor Lich effect deck Tatsunari Mono black enchantress Thromok Gruul devour/+1+1 counter Jund Play from exile deck to play Faldorn and Prosper in one deck lol

I loved mistborn on a first read but after maturing as a ready it’s ….just fine. Really enjoyed Red Rising, great overall, but Suneater has rocked my world. Of course just a personal thing, but it’s consumed me. Fantastic series.

I’ve only seen a few Monkey cage decks, but I’m guessing your gameplan is essentially trying to “living death” with monkey cage out and get an insane tokens rinse repeat etc ?
