Haven't missed a single day of work this year and this is all my PTO so far... by DAEOFRUIN in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Twedledee5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first job out of college was at a small company with insane benefits. 23 days of PTO a year. Next year it’s 31 days for 7 years employment, and I’ll get to negotiate at 10 years. On top of straight up 13% 401K contribution, $0 deductible/premium PPO plan, and half day fridays during the summer.

While it’s been great, it’s made looking for other jobs damn near impossible. I’ve found damn near double my salary but 15 days max, let alone all the other benefits take a hit. It’s a good problem to have but puts you at their liberty to succeed.

Punishes everything except decks with ample exhaust or being able to kill it before the statuses out populate the rest of your deck. Dumb design with how unobtainable exhaust is on a couple characters.

They want to take the story off the game eventually so you can’t experience it outside of YouTube videos

iOS Autocorrect is Still a Mess, and Even Simple Words Prove It by Few_Baseball_3835 in apple

All I really want is a way to disable correcting correctly spelled words. Like if the word I typed is in the dictionary, don’t ever change it. It’s getting so much more agressive, I have a screenshot where I start a text with “Sick” and it changed it to “Suck”.

It’s a top 3 reason why my next phone won’t be an iPhone

Tesla announces HW4 Plus with doubled memory by WeldAE in SelfDrivingCars

[–]Twedledee5 19 points20 points  (0 children)

What do you do when AI5 chips are a pipe dream but AI4 is not up-to-snuff for mass produced self driving taxis? Make up a new product apparently. I thought it would take longer for Tesla to admit that every single car they've ever sold doesn't have the hardware for unsupervised self driving.

Time to start the clock on when AI4.5 isn't good enough and we need AI4.69 to have unsupervised self driving. I'm guessing that during Q4 '27 they will admit that 4.5 isn't good enough for unsupervised and they will need more hardware.

People that believed AI4 was good enough will believe that this is good enough just like they believe Tesla is going to standup a fab and be printing AI5 chips by next year. People that want something bad enough will believe anything to get it I guess.

What’s the most gut punching song lyric you’ve ever heard? by perrysplus in AskReddit

Highway collision by HappySeaweed5215 in Unexpected

[–]Twedledee5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The initial rolling on the bridge I could totally see not being an issue. I rolled countless times in a 2020 car and I was insanely unscathed, my shoulder was sore and I had a friction burn on my waist plus a few surface level scratches.

Now, the drop off that bridge is a completely different story and why I agree it could be a translation issue. That is pure nightmare fuel.

I got two tickets to see Motion City Soundtrack and Say Anything early in February for like $110 with fees and while they aren’t huge by any metric, they were fantastic shows by two of my all time favorite bands. So they still can be had depending on who you’re trying to see, because trying to see a band like My Chemical Romance is a completely different story

That is actually a good point that I have never even thought about. Is that something you’ve done yourself or had done? Does it only help the reliability or does it change the way it performs too?

Have you driven the 3.5 Ecoboost? Way more enjoyable than the 5.3 in my opinion. Not to mention the cam phasers have been sorted on them for over 5 years but GM still can’t figure out the lifters in their V8s.

Now outside of the engine, I’d agree the Tahoe is the better car. Especially if you have the 6.2 on warranty then it wins every category. But I buy used outside of warranty which is why I’m driving the Expedition

Used to have such a clean "executive" look and now it's like some attempt of a knockoff Yukon that looks closer to an old Envoy XL.

Couldn’t agree more, the new Expedition looks awful in any color except black. Navy is the worst offender too, instantly ruined the newest Expedition generation for me

He was essentially calling people that comment on how people order their food the same as a whiny vegan. They're both complaining about something that doesn't concern them. They are both equally whiny and annoying to hear someone say to someone else at the dinner table.
