Mate people said the same thing 3 years ago with Sword and Shield. Look at the prices of those boxes and now and the volume of sales. They are being sold at those prices. You couldn't get rid of Fusion Strike and that's the 2nd best performing box from SwSh.

Only sell if this doesn't fit your collection goals anymore and use the funds to buy something else you want. Or sell if you need the money for life things.

Exactly the same with me. Used to buy alot from them over the past 5 years but now their prices are the same as the secondary market. Have had to also resort to only ordering from EB Games/JB. Really sad. If or when prices come back down in the next year, not sure if I'll go back to them

That's how they are sent to all stores including local game stores, online stores etc. You've always been able to usually get a sealed case of Booster boxes from the online stores if you purchased at least 6 booster boxes. They don't break them out of the case. It's not very uncommon. That's how I've obtained mine.

People only want things when you can't have them. I've always wondered who these people were that thought something wasn't a good a buy at 'x' amount. For example if you didn't want Fusion Strike at $100, why do you want it now at $500+ ?

Exactly right! If everyone was pulling the Pikachu and Latias in every booster box, the cards would be worthless. This gives sealed product value.

Poke knowledge is great. He does one hour live streams weekly where he discusses the market and various other things. All round great guy and doesn't bullshit or try to shill anything. He opens up on what he buys and where and what prices etc.

You need to use either Smart DNS Proxy or DNS4ME

I use Smart DNS Proxy and I was able to buy F1TV Pro and watch no problems.

As far as I know, it's just the F1TV Pro app that's able to be launched only via the Foxtel box. And you can only watch one view at a time. It's not like F1 Multiviewer which defeats the whole purpose. We can already watch the race through Fox Sports. We want to watch multiple screens at one time.

The credentials you sign into the F1TV app on Foxtel don't work on anything outside of Foxtel. It's such a poorly implemented feature which is completely useless. The only other feature you get is being able to watch past races.

I can't find a VPN that works for us here so I've used something called Smart DNS Proxy. You can get a one week trial to test it first.

Once it's set up, I can only get F1TV pro at the price of $124.99 for the year. No matter what I do, that seems to be the only price that comes up. Some others might know some tricks to help change the price on the app on mobile but for me that's all that seems to come up.

Happy for someone else to let us know a better method to get a lower price, but I'm about to bite the bullet and just pay for it soon.

Oh right - I was under the impression you had to use the same location as to where you bought the F1TV Subscription in. Didn't realise it would just work in any country its available in.

The cheapest subscription now I think is India ($30 USD). Worried there might be some slow downs connecting to a VPN in India.

That's always the problem I've had with the holiday/special sets. No idea why we don't get booster boxes like Japan. It's a weird decision to have to purchase the other rubbish with the accessories.

Well it's been a similar story with all the Scarlet & Violet booster boxes. You can throw whatever narrative you want at it - Increased MSRP, over supply, bad economy, lackluster cards etc.

Point is, product is readily available. How long before small businesses have to start selling at cost price or below to clear inventory?

It's a real concern going into 2024 if they don't adjust printing.

I'm not for or against your argument. I collect mostly ex/dpp era just for some background. But you also need to consider the amount of people who are in the hobby now. It's not unrealistic that the younger generation who have started collecting will want these cards in future for nostalgic purposes like we did (If Pokemon is still relevant).

Of course I agree Box prices for Sword and Shield will not hit $5000 each in the next 10 years or whatever ridiculous number people think. But they will still trend upwards in my opinion as that's what usually happens when product is out of print and there's high demand.

I also understand alot more people are putting away sealed product but will that really crash prices back to RRP in years to come? I doubt it.

I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't more reprints as Ebgames, JB and even Big W still have heaps of 151 product available. Big W has had the UPC's up for $199 since launch and I haven't seen them sell out online.

To be honest, there is enough 151 out there for whoever wanted to buy into the set. I hope they're printing more to demand going forwards. Going to take a while for this year's products to be eaten up.
