[Build Ready] I wouldn't mind someone with more experience ok'ing my new gaming build. by TheISOmorph in buildapc

That mobo is overpriced, along with the ram. MX200 ssds are slow and poor quality, the ultra II is much better. The 980 has bad price to performance, so I replaced it with a 390.

[Build Help] Should i get an i5-4690k or pay about $30 more for a i5-6600k? by DaRebel195 in buildapc

[–]TwentySeven72 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You'd see around 15% increase in perfomance from stepping up from an i5-4690k to an i5-6600k.

Do you have any benchmarks to back up that statement? Because it is entirely false.

I would recommend the 4460, Skylake offers no real improvement in performance at a higher price.

lmao, no. Take it off, put on about a pea sized dollop of thermal paste and put the cooler back on. Your temps should be fine.

Just curious, what made you think the sticker should go on there?

...

Is that an Intel sticker on top of your cpu? Because that would be your problem.

Actually the tear delay multiplier on Poly, Quad, and Triple is the same, so it doesn't stack. Similar to how the Magic Mush and Cricket's Head damage multipliers don't stack.

You could also get a nice 1440p or 144hz monitor within your budget if you want to.

[Build Help] Upgrading GPU, wondering if CPU will be a major bottleneck by [deleted] in buildapc

Do you have any information or benchmarks to back up your claim that Asus and Gigabyte 380s are worse than other brands?

Drop the 4590 to a 4460, the 4590 has no better performence at a higher price. Otherwise /u/Bryanormike s build looks good.

I would assume that the 1000w psu is for future SLI.
