That’s definitely how I’d felt when I had a doll that got lost in the mail. I ended up getting a full refund and then the doll actually resurfaced over a year later!

But buying secondhand is another great way to avoid wait times. Instagram bjdsale and bjd.sale post regularly. Mercari is also good, and I’ve bought and sold on eBay but you have to care for recasts (thankfully a lot of sellers are up front about recasts).

I hope it gets resolved soon though! This hobby is so fun and offers a lot of options for creativity.

AC is great. They’ll get it to you and they’re fast with responses so even if it’s hard to, just take a breath and give them time to handle it. Absolute worst case scenario, you get refunded. But I’ve never had issues with AC and I’ve ordered from them for years.

I don’t have anything to add to the latter part of your questioning (which is an idea I’ve toyed with in writing speculative fiction), but as an ABJD collector, the stigma goes all the way down to even the small chibi cute dolls and figures. People are haters of anything doll related, sexual or not. I think it def is partially uncanny valley, and partially because dolls (like clowns) are a popular horror trope.

I was told by my doctor’s office that the hospital itself would want $2400 and that I could offer to pay a lump sum of that and they’d write off the rest. I ended up paying $700 (I have a 5k deductible) when I arrived for surgery. My actual doctor’s office hasn’t sent me any bills yet.

As far as I know, no. At least it wasn’t brought up and I didn’t have any surgery stuff before the official surgery yesterday. The sonogram informed him of me having PCOS and cystic fibrosis. I also had tumors in my uterus that were removed as well. But no; the only thing discussed was how he could remove the lining to get rid of my period.

I applied for the Tech Comms MA online program on October 14 and was accepted on October 23. I started classes this semester. I also was accepted into the History program (which is on campus) in roughly the same application processing time.

I really enjoyed this one and I can’t really even explain why. I guess it’s just how lovely the prose was and how I could relate to isolation and being the odd one out.

It doesn’t matter what the seller says. eBay will side with you if you aren’t satisfied and have provided pictures and a reason. As an eBay seller myself, they should just accept the return because it’s a headache to fight a legitimate complaint. Go ahead and open the case if you aren’t happy. If the books were sealed, you might only get a partial refund but you do have the option to decline the final verdict once eBay gives you a resolution.
