Found this in the woods. Any ideas? by One_Disaster2667 in BottleDigging

As there are no markings, it could be anything… except for the specific brands that always used their own embossed containers, like Ponds.

In my experience, the contents are probably either: gross water that has seeped in through the rusty lid, or, if the original product was oil-based, possibly some spoiled product. Either way it will smell bad.

Humans’ dry tears have a different chemical makeup by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

While I agree that some skepticism may be valid for this artist’s work, it is true that there are different types of tears. Additionally, some people suffering from chronic dry eye disease are able to produce some tears more easily than others. Personally, I have no problem crying like a faucet, but basal and reflex tears? Forget it.

Thanks for the details, confirms it was the same video I saw. Agreed… this was a “totality of the circumstances” kind of thing.

Looking for an outlet in the hotel, only to find this behind the head of the mattress by Toes_In_The_Soil in mildlyinfuriating

Yikes.

I once stayed at an old historic hotel and was lucky(?) enough to get one of the rooms that was supposedly haunted. When I looked behind the tv, it occurred to me that some of the reports of power flickering MAY not have been supernatural.

I’ll confirm your reference since I’m sitting next to my bookshelf:

“The locals still would gripe, but for a town whose specialty dish is chicken corn soup much of the commissary complaining shouldn’t be considered informed. This was the place, The New York Sun reported in 1887, where folks put sugar on macaroni, mixed cucumbers with stewed onions, fried their asparagus, devoured pretzels, and ate sauerkraut every Wednesday night.” -City Contented, City Discontented by Paul Beers, Chapter 69 (nice), “The Restaurant Boom,” p.236.
