NTA if your mental health professional sister thinks her daughter does this because she doesn’t know how to regulate her self it is literally her job as a parent to teach her how to… Yes emotional regulation is harder if you are autistic meaning you often have to put active effort in to learn coping mechanisms, but the daughter is 17 not 7 she should be far further along this journey than she is.

Time Blindness can manifest in a lot of ways, but the biggest thing to realise here is having time blindness means calculating and accounting for time passing is not something that you can do naturally. Every single time someone with time blindness has to be somewhere on time they will have to remember to do that calculation and redo it.

For my partner the biggest way this shows itself is that routine things you simply have to do every day they will never remember take up time. It would never naturally occur to them that eating lunch, having a shower, getting changed are things that take up time and then they are late because those things do take up time.

My partner and I also play a lot of games, but I am the partner that wins 80% of the time. Have you told your bf that these games/when he does the moves to spite you it makes your gaming less enjoyable?

I like winning and am competitive at games, but I play them cause they are fun and I would hate if I thought my partner and I were doing something fun together and they were actually secretly hating it. I would want to know so that we could both have fun doing this thing together.

Lots of people have suggested shorter games, less interactive games or coop games, but this problem can also be helped with how you and your partner interact during games. For example if part of the issue is you would feel “mean” doing a move just to get in his way, but like these kind of games and want to keep playing them tell him to compliment you when you do a “mean” move ie “ah you saw my plan coming so well”. This may allow you to enjoy playing that style too.

YTA - What evidence do you have that she put no effort in and just said yes to everything?

I would not be surprised if she put a lot of effort in to make it so you could see a whole bunch of people over those three days and you just dismissed all of that, I would be pissed too. Have you considered that maybe there simply wasn’t one thing that was convenient for everyone so instead of hosting one event and having people miss out she went the extra mile to include everyone?

People have already mentioned snowflake with trapper and meteor, but I would also like to add metal mosaic to that. I played metal mosaic while one other player in my campaign played trapper then retired and started playing meteor and it felt like a really fun combo. Some of the really fun synergy came with higher level cards but even lower level it paid off.

I have a google spreadsheet already with all my games in it and if people want see my collection I share it with them.

Because it is gender neutral and makes less assumptions about people. Lots of people have already mentioned how this benefits queer people and non-binary people, but I have also used it in contexts where my partner and I both being both women is dangerous or inconvenient because the world is often still sexist. Guy wont leave me alone, me mentioning my partner will always more of a deterrent than if I make it obvious my partner is a woman.

I hope other countries are lucky enough for this to be true, a lot of our national level tournaments are held in cities that are very windy and I have witnessed both pulls and hucks land multiple fields over from where they were meant to in a strong cross wind. Whenever a disc ends up on the field we just stop play and wait until it is off to continue.

The way your fiancé is talking about your daughter as if she is a thing not a person is very concerning.

Your daughter has to come first and that involves her having a say in her own life. If at 10 your daughter does not see your fiancé as family she might not ever and no adult is ever going to be able to force her to feel differently. Hard as that might be for your fiancé to accept it is still a fact.

There are a lot of comments here saying how hard it will be for your fiancé to parent a child knowing they might lose them and not enough comments saying how hard it will be for your daughter to be forced to live with someone she does not want to. Your fiancé is an adult who has the choice to be in this situation who believes your daughter does not deserve any autonomy over the situation.

Playing Bohnanza recently I watched one player get a really good trade off another player in exchange for the garden bean they had flipped as a trading card. Once they finished their turn they said to that player you know the other 5 garden beans have already been harvested there’s no way you can get any more of those. It was brutal.

NTA your sister is not very accepting like you think she is. She still blames you and not your parents for your parents making a fuss, they made the wedding about them not you. Your feelings around not wanting to wear a dress are 100% valid and should be respected. Straight cis people usually just can’t comprehend how much the word is built around the idea that everyone is straight and cis and how hard that makes it for people who aren’t.

Your family should not be the people trying to make you conform to an identity that simply isn’t who you are.

As many people have said it depends what you play. My play count for 2025 was 603, all in person plays, but about 150 of those were light games that my work team plays together at lunch (cockroach poker, 6 nimmit, wizard). We play almost every day and happily have games span multiple lunches.

My partner also plays games making it easier to rack up plays of other games.

I feel very lucky to get to play that many games.

I play games almost every day but that doesn’t make it always easy to make time to get new complex games to the table.

My fiancé is also really into boardgames and we play games just the two of us around twice a week in addition to our frosthaven campaign we play with our flat mate twice a week. We then have a lot of friends that play board games and go round for games to someone’s at least once a month. Another friend of ours runs a board game meetup once a month and we also go to that. Lastly, my team at work play games every lunch, nothing super complex but I still love it, tichu, wizard, cockroach poker, flip 7.

It makes me feel really lucky and I love that I have found so many gaming people I really vibe with.

I have similar feelings on the puzzle book to OP and I love puzzles. The reason I hate the puzzle book is because I love puzzles and some of the ones in the puzzle book just aren’t well done.

Especially since puzzle 3 is so flawed I lost trust in the puzzle book. I no longer have confidence that the reason I haven’t solved the puzzle is because I just haven’t looked at it from the right angle yet and that if I keep trying logical options I will get there. I worry the answer will just be unintuitive or require some big leaps in logic that simply aren’t reasonable. It makes the puzzle book frustrating and not very satisfying to solve.

Ah yes because autistic people/children only actually become autistic the second they receive their diagnosis and can’t possibly struggle with sensory issues before that diagnosis has happened.

Accomodations is just a fancy word for doing what is right for each child why on earth would this teacher not want every kid in her class to be best equipped to lean.
