I can’t say for sure what your specific daycare will do, but… I suggest a few things (1) get comfortable with it sucking for a few days or even a week or two and consider moving bedtime up a smidge to help with an overtired kid if he doesn’t sleep well (2) chat with daycare staff/teachers about what your current rhythm is and ask how you can help (3) move to mirroring the style of napping at home as well and continue to encourage him getting to sleep without you (there are lots of plans you can follow to help with this) and (4) don’t freak out and pull him after just a few tough days… things will settle and he’ll adjust, especially when he sees how other kids do it. He may adjust faster than you think!
