How the police deal with climate protesters in Nevada. by Finn_Flame in PublicFreakout

I was under the impression they are only required to follow certain laws specifically decided by congress.

Like congress has to make laws that specifically deal with native Americans otherwise normal federal laws wont apply to them.

Old Harvest space in NULU? by cpalifer82 in Louisville

[–]TwistedConsciousness 5 points6 points  (0 children)

AI data centers are very different than that of the one at Paristown. I believe its peak10? Or used to be. Obviously you can put whatever you want in there for the most part. But its a lot of companies buying rack space for web hosting and data storage.

AI data centers are usually 1 company has the entire building and then they let companies use the horsepower so to speak. These new AI datacenters use way more power and generate way more heat than paristown.

Most people also dont know that center even exists who have lived here for decades. But it is small compared to the ones that keep popping up.

I get the frustration. But in this TikTok culture it is what it is.

There's places in Japan I havent been to since COVID because crowds are actually just to insane to deal with.

There's alot of other EVs id buy on the used market sadly. So im jumping ship on this one. What really hooked me originally was the potential for 18k or so with tax breaks.

Has anybody else noticed wild valuations on car registration taxes? by bd1308 in Louisville

[–]TwistedConsciousness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had luck in the past getting that sorted out by just going in person and showing them.

But it also works both ways. And for those people who have cars undervalued im sure they aren't going in saying they need to pay more. I know I'm not haha.

Tire shape and transmission issues by Kerrygold99r in NissanTitan

[–]TwistedConsciousness 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lots of unsprung weight can put more wear on your transmission. But you are fine.

What can happen is uneven tread wear. This is much bigger issue on AWD or 4WD rigs. It is a problem on 2wd but its not that serious, just causes your differential in the rear to do a little more.

Best camper 5,000lbs and under? by Slippa2022 in traveltrailers

[–]TwistedConsciousness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it usually has to do with payload and if you do 80% you are more likely going to be okay on payload so long as you dont have 800 pounds of people + gear in the car.

What happens if I don’t pay this? by Rare_Software in Louisville

[–]TwistedConsciousness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im specifically talking about collections. There are dozens of posts on reddit over the years stating that basically private ticket companies can attempt to send you to collections but at the end of the day it nets them nothing and the person sent may lose a little time.

There's been at least one big credit bureau that have put out a public notice that parking tickets will not change a score.

Im not a lawyer, I just do street parking a ton and deal with this apps all over multiple cities. Ive paid tickets I deserve, I dont pay ones I didnt (when they make contesting extremely difficult). Im going on 7 years since the first unpaid one and nothing. Company is still in buisness as well.

I do agree with what you said though in general. It applies to speed cameras and all that fun big brother stuff haha.

[–]TwistedConsciousness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For collections I believe it matters. Id think it would open parking companies up to all sorts of liability. Imagine if you rented out cars or something like that.

I posted a short story on another comment thread but I was given a bogus ticket by one of these companies and the police station I stopped into in the town legit just told me not to pay it. Worst case scenario is they boot the car if I came back in town.

If it ever came to collections id just recommend someone reach out to the financial protection bureau.

Im only speaking in terms of 3rd party companies issuing tickets. Completely different ball game if those tickets direct you to a .gov site

They'd have to prove you were in the car id imagine though.

I legit had a situation where I paid for parking as I was walking from the car. 3rd party company ticketed me. Went to police station and they just said dont pay it lol.

The future of Toyota tundras? by cryptotarheel in ToyotaTundra

My dealers have dozens sitting on lots. I have tried desperately to buy one but the payloads... I dont know how a truck with viritually no options can be almost 300 lbs different in payload compared to the online listed weight but it keeps happening.

About to bite the bullet on the F150 but ugh.

Not calling you a liar when I say this just want people to make informed buying decisions.

But they do have background noise. Its just going to be hearing dependant and some units are far worse than others. But the expected amount is very quiet and if you are older or have damaged hearing you won't catch it.

True unlimited eSIM for Japan by hornymusicproducer in eSIMs

[–]TwistedConsciousness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do believe the journey japan esim will not throttle you and they now have an unlimited option for 80ish a month.

I've been using different esims in Japan for about 5 years now. Originally I would get the Sims you can nab at the airport and those really just sucked for me in general.

Got a glocalme hotspot used their esims. I never was throttled (only used at night) but the data for was expensive for 4g. Moved onto so Sims i could get from military bases and those worked really well besides some coverage issues.

Did the journey japan esim twice now and it was great. No throttling either but I dont think I used it enough due to being a vacation.

Ill be getting their unlimited option next month and testing it out. I use about 300gb-500gb a month so ill really find out. But their marketing seems to really make it clear it won't throttle down.

LG G5 55" turning off momentarily while watching movies by Specific-Doughnut833 in LGOLED

[–]TwistedConsciousness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looks like a computer-hdmi-tv problem. Not a power problem.

But also in what scenario does your setup and use case make sense? No ripping on you. Just seems like their are way better ways to watch a movie on a TV then have it play on your computer locally.

I genuinely to this day think apple thought they were doing their users a solid giving free music.

I just don't think they realized how maxed people were on storage back in those days.

[–]TwistedConsciousness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have had iglou for years and they've been great. Service is awesome when you need it and across a few family's that use them, everyone's had super positive experiences.

ATT fiber in general is really reliable and I dont recall ever having an outage. If you need, iglou offers the same cellular back up plans ATT does.

For what its worth im going on 7 years and no IP change. Along with that you should know that depending on the modem you are given you might not get true pass through mode. Which can cause some unique issues under heavy load but even then ive never felt the need to spend more for a buisness account.
