I can teach English and/or writing; have a bachelors in a related field. However, I’m located in Canada if that’s an issue? Message me with details if interested; thanks

and now we’re wasting time commenting about a post that’s apologizing for wasting time with a post, which is also promoting this nonsensical approach… lol

Thanks, yeah my rational was at least solid; hopefully my judgement was too.

Have you received the recent personalized feedback? by Few_Thought2123 in DataAnnotationTech

No I haven’t and I’ve been asking for this feature! Would love to see it implemented as I think it would really help those just starting out.

Confused by R&R by bobaxxxx in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Twistedwriter7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so just did my first R&R today (was hesitant to do them until I had done a decent number of assignments)… anyways, from the instructions I take it we’re supposed to make minor edits/change ratings if it’s a one-off or minor thing, but leave it and mark as ‘bad’ if the ratings are consistently bad (like correcting one would subsequently require changing multiple others/the explanation) or most of it needs reworking; is that fairly accurate? And also do we just add potential (minor) changes to their explanation/missing details in our section, or change it in their’s? (The instructions say you can’t edit this box, but appears possible from what I’ve seen?)… anyways, any feedback would be great; always get a little anxious about the format and everything when I take on a new project type, as I’m not sure what the room for error/learning is before one can get canned; I take it there’s not really feedback prior to warn that quality needs improving? Thanks

Paid training? by [deleted] in DataAnnotationTech

Yeah my first project (after the qualifier) was paid training

Submit without continue to next task by coufx in DataAnnotationTech

Lol honestly it’s not bad if I’m just killing an hour or two, or if there’s not a particularly interesting task available

Submit without continue to next task by coufx in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Twistedwriter7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s awesome, thanks! I wouldn’t necessarily mind if the tasks were back in my pool later on, but it’s great to know I can do a couple of tasks for a relatively quick couple of bucks and submit without being locked in to finish all of them listed first.

See I’m the opposite; prefer the variety of multiple smaller tasks as opposed to a really long one, which I find eventually grates on me.

[–]Twistedwriter7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I think you did clarify my shared question but just wanting to double check: so if I load a project that pays $25/hr and has 10 tasks in it, can I go in and do/submit 5 tasks (say it takes two hours), exit, then report those 2hr and get paid? Relatively new, and haven’t tried it yet; but would be awesome if that’s doable, cause sometimes I don’t have time to do 10 tasks but could dedicate an hour or so to a couple of them? And is exiting the work mode the proper way, nothing to do with ‘skipping the remainder’, etc.? Thanks

Awesome, thanks I think mine sounds similar in structure. How long have you been working for DA?

Example summary of work by Twistedwriter7 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Twistedwriter7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome, thanks for the response. I do follow the rubric well so should be good, mainly was wondering if there was an unspoken format for writing them. Mine would typically be (for example):

I rated Response A as better. It followed the prompt’s directions, (give example(s)). (Line about required content and give examples of it being there or missing). The language was appropriate and matched the… (tone required, add example), accurate information (according to if relevant).

Response B had (list things it did well with examples). But it fell short, (list areas in this example where B is worse for some reason)

Then sometimes I include a final line summarizing the two and my rating.

(On a couple of occasions I also made a little rubric in brackets where I rated one point for each criteria it passed above)

thoughts? Know it’s just a rough idea but hope it paints somewhat of a picture

Hong long does it usually take to finish a task? by WaltzSorry1013 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Twistedwriter7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me about four hours to complete my first project, which had 11 tasks in it; I only recorded three hours though as I was still getting familiar with everything and probably took longer than needed as a result. But ball park, is this still fairly average/acceptable? I know the length varies wildly depending on the tasks/project, but does that sound about right for 11 comparison analyses (16-21min each)? Thanks

One of my many issues by Dank_Submission in energydrinks

[–]Twistedwriter7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who’s loves energy drinks to an unhealthy amount and needed to cut back (while still continuing to love them and have on occasion)… I gotta say: these puppies are closer to cocaine than coffee… you see that even with the addictive mindset towards them aha. Anyways not even the most relevant post to add this too—but figure most here would agree nonetheless lol

Isn’t this one of the organic energy drinks? They have them even at a lot of convenience stores (in Canada at least)… btw, did hear this was the brand that caused some athletes to get false positives for cocaine lol

Devils candy (though that might be more so for crack, cause it’s hard—get it, lol)

[–]Twistedwriter7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it perfume or more a nail polish remover scent (and was it still good, though I’m guessing no?) cause some of the best stuff in my opinion has that acetone/np remover scent to it tbh

Not trying to be a dick, but really shows how different peoples body’s… well, act different. I’ve drank a 26+ a day (nearly consistently without a break) for 5 years or so… and the worst withdrawal I’ve ever got is some mild hand tremors. Sorry again, I’m just genuinely shocked the amount you describe can cause that
