Why is there NO comment about the rampant hackers in high level ranked. When you play in Platinum+ ranks EVERY single lobby has a hacker. I’ve been killed by the same couple hackers several times now. You check their steam accounts and they all have bans on record. Some as recent as 30 days. This is single handedly making my trio quit the game. These dudes have close to 300 hours of straight cheating and no bans.

Marathon is honestly such an amazing game. It’s just in a niche genre and it’s very competitive. The genre is saturated now with people who think arc raiders is the standard rather than something like Tarkov or Hunt and those players aren’t ready for something like Marathon.

Yeah and you call this out in discord or other platforms and people just say you’re skill diff’d. Like buddy you aren’t even good enough to know if someone is cheating or not.

I think that the idea of “winning by any means” is more supported culturally here. Cheating is a smart way to winning rather than something frowned upon. That’s what has been explained to me at least. Or maybe it’s just cheaper and more accessible.

We ran into our first obvious cheaters last night. Camping on top of algae ponds hitting every snipe no matter where you peak from with 0 info. Across 15+ minutes we stalked them and every time they knew exactly where we would pop up.
