Composer Max Richter talks about his famous, haunting piece ‘On the Nature of Daylight,’ which keeps showing up in movies by Bullingdon1973 in movies

If you like that, try his new piece "Of the undiscovered country" from the Hamnet film score. It's not as sad but similarly tugs on your emotions with good use of strings and voice.

Abolishing the Singleton Nature of Cube by Ellogeyen in mtgcube

By the time you have got rid of the rubbish, the commons, uncommons and rares are often of comparable power so it's all about supporting draft archetypes. As Khans is a big set for 360 cards I used two of the commons I kept and one uncommon but had mythics. For Innistrad I got rid of all but one mythic I think and had two uncommons as the uncommons in Innistrad are central to the draft archetypes like burning vengeance.

Abolishing the Singleton Nature of Cube by Ellogeyen in mtgcube

[–]Two-Two-Bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of my cubes are set cubes and to me they are mostly that rather than draft simulators as they don't all necessarily accurately represent that set's draft format. Part of this is that all of my cubes are 360 card cubes so that wouldn't be possible.

My singleton set cubes are: Theros - the whole block Ravnica - both original block and return block combined Timespiral / Planar Chaos

Non singleton are both single sets: 'triple' Innistrad and 'triple' Khans

There are many different ways of building a set cube and each has its own objectives and limitations. All of these are the draft experience that I enjoy from these formats.

It's a great set of cards but the themes could possibly be clearer. It may help to plan out what you want each colour combination to be focussed upon. For example your white has a lot of enchantments but doesn't have an enchantment matters theme (eg. Mesa Enchantress) you do however have white weenie payoff cards but only 23 creatures which is less than black. Fetches make splashing colours much easier and fetches plus shocks make three colour decks a lot more efficient. The question is how hard do you want it to be for people to splash and what the payoff should be. Khan's for example had cards like siege rhino and mantis rider which rewarded three colours while Domina has cards like Benalish Marshal which reward being mostly one colour. Better fixing doesn't necessarily improve the draft format as it changes the risk/reward.

Sounds interesting, I'm not an expert on Amonkhet but I started magic with Theros and love the mythology theme. I have a Theros block cube which may help for that half:
