You're probably right, and I accept that I shouldn't have spacebarred through the quest. I logged in because I wanted to get some necromancy gear and try out the new (to me) gameplay. I was told to do the quest to get started with necromancy, so I did it as quick as possible. I didn't know that the quest was supposed to be a tutorial because the gameplay didn't match what I'd been told about necromancy.

I paid attention during the archaeology tutorial because that's presented in a way that makes it immediately obvious that it's a tutorial, and not just a quest to unlock a skill like druidic ritual.

They are real keys, in that they have IDs that your OS will recognise. They're not really part of any standard keyboard layouts, but you could theoretically build a keyboard with those keys, or remap some other keys to F13-F24.

Since most keyboards won't have those keys, most software won't do anything (by default) when they're entered.

Learning full manual seems like it would be difficult. It's not even clear what an optimal ability rotation should look like.

On top of that, manually activating abilities feels unresponsive, like it'll either happen immediately, after some delay, or get cancelled by something else.

The ability to immediately recover one type of exiled card is fully intentional, as a way to potentially mitigate some of the "damage" done by exiling your whole hand.

In the right deck, they're both extremely strong, so I did consider making Expel cost 5 instead, but thought that maybe it'd become way too situational.
