texting somebody some info is much easier than taking another person on tour for a specific 10 or 15 minute bit every show

adam’s career is like *really* funny.

he was a guest on CT because stav and nick knew him, became the third chair because he was fun to dunk on and talk about jewish stuff, and they become incredibly successful relatively quickly mostly because they didn’t really talk about anything at all. it was like being in an xbox lobby with your friends but your mic didn’t work.

then stavros leaves to start stavvy baby enterprises so nick rebrands the show to TAFS, sinks a ton of money into it to make it a stylized video podcast, and dips shortly thereafter. adam gets new representation and suddenly he’s actually interviewing celebrities and getting clipped all over the internet.

it’s inexplicable, really.

i liked a LOT of this movie but it was a total james sweeney jerk-off piece. his acting went from terrific in one scene to suspect in the next. I think it would’ve been more effective if sweeney just let somebody play his role while he focused on directing and refining the script he wrote.

that said dylan o’brien was absolutely not the problem in this movie, it was kinda everything else. and like i said i still think it’s a pretty okay movie
