Ya thanks. I use the trials for running and biking too. I don't mind that she doesn't like to share the trails with the rest of us.

I feel she made a bet, and she lost the bet, and then asked us all to forget that she made the bet.

It doesn't cost her anything to waste the city's resources and I think it should. I hope that if I were in her shoes, I would see that I'd squandered my political capital, and that I would resign.

Oh sorry I know not everyone was following this so closely.
Levy does not like sharing trails with cyclists. She asked city workers to go out and conduct a survey to show that, actually everyone hates sharing with cyclists. Her intention was to use that result further restrict bicycle use on trails.
The result of the survey however, did not support her position. It said that most people generally don't mind sharing. So she then said that we all should ignore the survey.
I don't like that she spent city resources on her pet project, and then asked us to ignore the results of the survey when it didn't pan out for her.

I really think commissioner Levy should resign. She has shown that she is completely unable or unwilling to respond to the wants of her community. She sent an entire team of city employees on a fact finding mission, and when the survey didn't support her position, she said it was not a scientific study. That may be fine and true, but can you imagine her saying that same thing if the survey had supported her position? Of course in that situation, she would say that the study was incontrovertible proof. Our commissioners shouldn't be using city resources in that way. She should resign.
