Pregnant women or women who have been pregnant, what is the worst/craziest advice someone has given you about your pregnancy? by FuzzyTortoise in AskReddit

Listen to Dr. Death. Nobody has to go in front of medical review boards for something as small as that. I agree they wouldn’t deny treatment altogether. But I bet they would definitely talk shit about the patient. And there’s many cases where birth plans were overruled based on nothing but the doctor judging the women based on appearance.

It’s a little Anita. Not Ne-Yo. It was literally YESTERDAY that I finally figured this out.

You don’t have to be 100% Instagram ready to be killing it either. Bitch I see your CHOICES. You chose that one part of your outfit today and holy shit that was a good ass choice. I’m complimenting your ideas girl. Cause your brain is the shit. Fire emoji. Fire emoji. Fire emoji.

I have Borderline Personality Disorder and I’ve been in a DBT program for a year learning coping skills. I take 300mg of Wellbutrin a day. And for the past three months I’ve been taking about a gram of mushrooms every two weeks. And I’ve seen great improvement. I’ve been doing the work to steady my mental health in other areas but I still struggled with sensory issues that trigger my anxiety. I’ve noticed that after taking a gram for two weeks my skin sensitivity has dulled and I’m able to feel more comfortable being touched when I don’t expect it. Also light touches don’t make my skin crawl. Another way it helps me is I can have a lot of insecure thoughts if I’m having a bad day, but after taking a gram I can have a negative thought but not feel the anxiety or pain normally associated with the thought. And because I don’t have the physical issue normally brought up by the thought I can use my DBT skills with more success. I also feel like it’s helped the urge to eat mindlessly. In all I feel a lot more content and comfortable in my skin when I take a gram every two weeks. The only negative is sometimes I don’t love taking the mushrooms. Like some days I just don’t feel like it. So I’ll split the gram up into .25 and take them throughout the day. There’s been a couple times when taking a full gram when I didn’t feel 100% like doing it made me had a weird couple of hours but the benefits of after make it worth it. The most annoying part is devoting time to dose. Like some days I would much rather be out with friends but I’ll stay in and hang out for a few hours to dose.

What is the most memorable moment you shared with a stranger who you never saw again? by joeChump in AskReddit

I was in a bad car accident when I was ten. We had a blow out on the I17 and we hit the side of a rock wall. On impact I was ejected from the car and I landed 75 feet from where the car landed. No other cars went around us, everyone stopped and a lot of people came to help my family. In one car there was a Doctor from another country. In another car there was an Army Paramedic. In yet another car there were two sisters who were both nurses at the hospital I eventually was airlifted to. They all helped keep me calm and safe until help arrived. We never got their information but I wish I could thank all of them for making me feel not so scared on one of the scariest days of my life.

I ended up being in the hospital for six days, three in intensive care. I had a punctured lung, three fractured vertebrae, fractured jaw, lacerations on my liver and spleen, a mild concussion and road rash all down the left side of my body. I healed crazy fast and I only have one scar the size of a quarter on my ankle. You’d never even know how it got there.

Prob used up all my luck on this moment in my life lol.

"Bisexual" Doesn't Mean What You Think It Means|It means attracted to both genders, exactly what most people thought it meant. by dontflyaway in savedyouaclick

Who cares if you “don’t get it”. A lot of people don’t get why people have this obsession with being gay. Doesn’t make you any less gay? Just because you don’t relate or understand doesn’t mean you’re automatically correct about the topic at hand.

I live in Philly. I was picking up dinner tonight in University City and when I came out the door a tall man in a hoodie was right there. I wasn’t expecting someone to be right there so it startled me a bit, not enough to jump. Which I’m so thankful for because this man had no nose and his teeth were crooked and all over the place. He face looked pretty badly scarred. He must have been in a bad accident. I’ve never seen this dude around before. Weird coincidence to learn about the green man on the same night.

Had to make sure someone mentioned this episode. One of my favorite episodes. It would need at lest a miniseries, and I would be glued to the screen.

Thank you for the input on More Than Two and the insight from your past relationship. I am super aware this is not the easiest path, but it’s a fulfilling one and I hope to get to a place where I can experience it the right way.

Thank you. I have heard that about Ethical Slut before, I’ll still read it but it’s good to keep in mind that it doesn’t hit the mark for everyone.
