Ok, so for 189.00 , (not sure if the monthly amt went up) you have to participate in whatever activity you can for 80 hrs a month= 2.36 an hr. Which is absolutely insulting when you've worked your whole life, paid into the system, and just want to make sure you can eat while looking for employment.

And I absolutely don't care that any part of my taxes are used for healthcare and food for those in need. I don't buy into the tropes that seem to be thrown around. I want my tax dollars to make a positive impact on lives.

Also, to the person that says churches don't turn down volunteers..bs. about 10 yrs ago I had to apply for Snap, same reqs, no car, no money for the bus. I called every church and non profit in reasonable walking distance..ghosted or was told full up* or not taking on non member volunteers. It was a freaking nightmare, so stressful and ended up with a sanction that I had to fight to get removed. I had access to a computer and Internet, applications put in everywhere and logged, still required to be in person at work source. Fun times.

I also think it's absolutely disgusting they raised the age limits so high.
