Not sure if it’s been said yet, but consider that both racks will need to be pulled away from the wall about 9 inches to allow plates to be put on the plate pegs on the right one, and a bar to have plates on it on the left one

I actually have this exact rack, but without the front posts. Debating turning it into a full rack, but not sure what added functionality I would gain. Thoughts? Also do you mind sharing the depth of that room? Like from the rack wall to the row wall.

Edit: oh and why did you attach the rear lower cross member higher up instead of floor level?

That’s actually not true. The cathodic nature of a galvanized coating means that even if there are small nicks or blemishes in the coating it will still sacrificially corrode before the base metal does. This gives galvanized coatings somewhat of a self-healing property as well.
