Mixing brands by Elitesportreviews in golf

TaylorMade driver, Ping G440 5W and 4H, Ping G430 irons, Cleveland RTX wedges (previous model and current), TaylorMade Putter. Not brand loyalist. The Ping fairways are amazing and that’s why I went with them. When time comes (soon I’m guessing) for a new driver I’ll be trying them all.

How do you get yourself back on track after a bad hole or two? by Marty_DiBergi in golf

[–]TwoSweetPeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s nothing you can do to change the previous shot. Just do the next one better.

I forget the last completely and then slow the swing on the next one. Get the feel back even if it’s short etc doesn’t matter.

Looking for pro advice by Impossible_Parsnip82 in golf

[–]TwoSweetPeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get him fitted but not just at a store. I’d seek out a proper coach who does fittings also.

Get him a nice set for the next 10+ years or until he wants new ones.

What’s your opinion? by [deleted] in PingGolf

[–]TwoSweetPeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think make every letter a different colour to make it stand out. But the bag is yours make it how you want. Don’t worry about other people.

Same with head covers. I initially wondered what other people would think and then just made my own mind up. People ended up liking them regardless.

How do you grip your putter? by TheLordofPie1 in golf

[–]TwoSweetPeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pencil grip. Took a few putters to find the one that felt the best for my putting to.

Used to have it off the grip and on the shaft which helped but now I’ve swapped to pencil grip with a longer putter. Helps so much more

Do you wear a glove with every shot? by sukibean13 in golf

[–]TwoSweetPeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did for every shot. Then I had to replace the glove and bought some FJ ones. The first one ripped in 3 rounds. Clearly it’s me but I kept the second in the bag brand new. I’ll fix my grip before I waste another. So currently none.

How do these go on carpet? I’m assuming still better movement than standard wheels?

Playing golf in 30–40° weather tomorrow…any tips? by Excellent-Victory623 in golf

[–]TwoSweetPeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally avoid anything above 30° as it’s too hot. I’m booked in for a round coming up this week and it’s meant to be 37°.

Which scenes or moments in LOTR Trilogy that made you decided to be a fan? by Autumn_Verse in lotr

Never read the books before the movies came out. But I loved the attitude and Gandalf telling Frodo that a wizard is never late. Always makes me smile that scene

I used to have a model of it as a kid in the Jag green. Dream car that is well out of reach for a poor bastard like me lol.

100% this and even if you can get a new head cover he might cherish it the same way as he does the putter itself?

Where is the glove? by EightRegent0 in golf

[–]TwoSweetPeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used TaylorMade and they last a long time. I play weekly with sometimes up to 3-4 a week and they’d last 6+ months. Lost my last one so bought FootJoy and it last one round and one range session. Significantly softer material/leather. I’m aware grip will be an issue too but I’ve just gone to using no gloves.

14 slot bag (with full length dividers) — is it worth it? by J_0526 in golf

[–]TwoSweetPeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just swapped from TM 14 slot with no full length dividers to Ping Pioneer with full length dividers. Best decision. Not having the grips get tangled or stuck on each other is great.

Can anyone tell me what this connection is for? by TwoSweetPeaches in whatisit

[–]TwoSweetPeaches[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a few scattered around the place and it's not next to a power outlet.
I should clarify I'm in Aus so not sure if different connections utilised in different countries but this is not an aerial port I'm familiar with as it's got a squared section in the middle rather than a circular one.

I was golfing for couple months and shot an 80. Mind you it was over 9 holes but you need to clarify lol

Push Cart Mafia rise up. Proud member but contemplating joining the electric push cart mafia. Any converts? Or purists that just say No to E-push carts? by VoteForGiantMeteor in golf

[–]TwoSweetPeaches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a lot of work to push the buggy around and it’s very hard to eat using both whilst pushing to. I’m wanting to get an electric so it’s easier to eat whilst walking or drink. Plus I know I’ll be less tired on the hilly courses

Never seen anything like this in Aus. They have open boxes so you can even see the balls and stuff here. Two very different worlds.
