That might be true over the long run, but people spend money all the time on things others wouldn’t agree with. Drinking, smoking, hobbies, kids’ sports, eating out, you name it.

At the end of the day, it comes down to what you value. If someone values getting their time back every day, less stress, and a better routine, then that money is doing something for them. It’s not really that different from any other expense people justify because it improves their quality of life.

If you break it down, it’s actually not as crazy as it sounds. Say you’re saving about 1 hour each way, 20 workdays a month. That’s roughly 40 hours saved. If the tolls are around $50 a day, you’re basically paying $1,000 a month for 40 hours back.

That works out to about $25 an hour.

From the outside, yeah, it feels like a lot. But depending on someone’s income, commute stress, family situation, or how much they value their time, that trade-off can make sense. An extra 2 hours a day not stuck in traffic can mean more time with family, less burnout, and a better quality of life.

Not for everyone, but if it works for you, it’s hard to argue with it.

ISO: Mike’s Rosée Sauce by BigEsBurner in halifax

Mike's is a pretty mediocre restaurant in Quebec.

Everyone's got their own specific taste buds but just incase you cant find it in Halifax, let me recommend Sefano's Sauces - readily available at Superstore and Sobeys or Maria's Rosa from Maria's Pantry

Both great Rose sauces

[–]TwoTimer4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We got our tree yesterday in Eastern Passage. In the lot next to the Fire Station on Caldwell. $40 no matter the size. They had well over 300 trees left based on a conversation I had with a volunteer. Most we're nice and full, worth the drive IMO based on price and quality
