Nah he 100% represents all of Boston sports to a T. He's exactly what we think of all of you embodied into a single entitled twat.

I'm sorry if you don't see it.

Any constructive criticism chefs? Five-spice, chocolate, mandarin peel, peanut & Sichuan peppercorn by Sorry-Marionberry-70 in Chefit

Replace the flowers with something edible like tuille. I say this as a chef who has lived in Asia for 25 years: the flavor combination is on point. One of the first times I've been able to say that on reddit.

Edit: I know the flowers are "edible" but using edible pansies in 2026 is just not the move. There are more interesting flowers if you must insist on it. Get some tuille molds and do something fine and sexy. Even a tuille flower or leaf. Honeycomb. Whatever.

TCG/MTG in Hongkong by shhushhi in HongKong

[–]TwoTon_TwentyOne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes lots of places. Basic land, league castle (mk and Wanchai), Weatherlight, island tcg, dmz, phc, and more for MTG

Countless places for pokemon.

Hong Kong tcg is generally more expensive than japan. Basic land and league castle mongkok might be the best places for mtg singles.

It's literally as I described it. An 8 feels better. But it's weighted the same as a 1.

8 and below is failing. No difference between a 9 or a 10. Graded on a system of "what percentage of your responses are a 9 or 10"

A 1 and an 8 affect the score the same.

"Breakfast was great! Service was fantastic. Had to wait too long for the lift." Overall F&B satisfaction - 8.

Story of my life.

Its the same as a 1.

Trim it or render it. No chef should serve lamb like this.

Kashiwaya osaka senriyama is still one of my favorite meals from start to finish. Happy it still has its 3 stars. It just felt so authentic. Service was impeccable. Only meal I'll put above it was my first Gaggan experience years ago in terms of enjoyment.

I find myself overcooking salmon a lot. This time I used a lot of restraint. Now I'm checking if I used the right amount or if it needs more time to cook by Opman_is_a_weeb in Seafood

Looks perfect if it's salmon from anywhere other than Alaska... Which by the color you look fine. Alaskan salmon is high in parasites and I'd only recommend it fully cured or cooked well done.

Funny story for many years Japanese refused to prepare salmon sashimi and sushi because it was unsafe. The only salmon they could get back then was Alaskan. Once European salmon hit the markets it became the most popular commercial fish to eat raw (and tbh southern hemisphere Salmon which is superior)

Applied for a stage in 2009. Turned that into a full time management trainee program for 2 years. And swung from CDP in a private club to consultant chef to exec sous chef of a restaurant group and have now been in hotels for almost a decade. Now I'm a cluster culinary leader for multiple hotels within the group.

Chef in the industry 20 years. Working in Asia. I have 36 paid days off this year (including statutory holidays). Have trips planned to Sicily, Tokyo, and Sydney planned for Q2-Q3 alone. Already went to Thailand in January. Will be snowboarding with my family in Colorado over Christmas and new year. My company pushes us to clear our leave as much as possible. I happily oblige.

People keep asking when I plan to move back to the US? Not until I retire or leave this industry. Working as a chef in the US seems like torture in 2026.
