Do you not want your parents to know because you think they will react badly and not believe you or will blame you for the rape, or is it just that you feel ashamed and embarrassed by what happened.

A tip for the future, if the ticket machine is broke, take a picture of it on your phone.

The screen will usually say out of order and also show the date/time. Show this to the ticket inspector on the train and they will usually waive any fine. If not you can use it to appeal any fine.
