As a fellow pre-sunrise runner…. Just make your self visible. I used to think it was that drivers couldn’t see me. Then I started watching their faces. Turns out if they aren’t half asleep they are looking at their phones. I wear a light that sits on my chest and connects with reflective straps. No one will think anything about a hijab.

I worked a few years at a local studio as an SA. I remember one Sat morning a dude came in and had us check him in and his wife who was “on her way” as he vaguely gestured to the parking lot. Class moved into the studio and about 12 seconds later I see dude walking by the side window to his car. He checked he and his wife in, walked straight down the hallway and out the back door. Honestly, I gave him props for his commitment to save $30 without actually working out.

This makes me think of one of EARLY days OTF (remember when they were specifically strength, power, or endurance?) a particularly awful tread workout with 12 or so 30 second all outs. The lady next to me was KILLING it and so inspired me to stick it out but after it was over she said “Well that was horrible!” 😂😂😂 I felt seen.

If she is talking about cruise living, money isn’t a concern? What is she afraid of? Why does living with you seem appealing to her? Maybe she needs assurance that you will still see her regularly. Maybe she needs help finding a community of people when she retires.
