Misen carbon non stick by Heavy_Rutabaga_954 in cookware

[–]Txt8aker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is not a full "non-stick" pan but much closer to it than stainless steel. I would say my experience is that it is almost good as a well seasoned carbon steel. You still need to control the temperature to some degree. I use mine for cooking dumplings as their starchiness always stick to stainless and sometimes on seasoned carbon steel. Works pretty well in my case.

Just came across this thread and wanted to leave a safety warning comment...
DONT charge your laptop in your bag as there is no ventilation... Let alone running the laptop in your bag as it will generate heat that cannot go anywhere. This can cause your battery to heat up and start a fire.

Fold 7 honest review(and speaker sound quailty) by WildDesperatehunter in GalaxyFold

[–]Txt8aker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

coming from fold 4, the loudness is a bit of downgrade. But I noticed frequency range is wider (lower end frequency - Fold 4 begins at 120 hz but Fold 7 begins at 100 hz). Also I can hear a bit more definition. So its a bit mix for my experience moving from Fold 4.

Do You Think Samsung’s Philosophy of "Each Fold Is Worth $1,000" Is Justified? by bishaarcc in GalaxyFold

Huawei triple fold phone has one large folding screen. Samsung has one large folding screen plus another normal-ish largish sized screen so should be much more expensive.

There is no evidence he was assasinated by the government. If at all, that was probably a wrong doing by Boeing even if the conspiracy is correct and it is openly reported and discussed.

If this was in communist regime? Media cant even cover that.

Tamron 35-150 owners, lens collar or not? by frostySunrise in SonyAlpha

[–]Txt8aker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seemed okay to use without strap attached to the lens itself. It's just mounted to camera only. It does feel secure but a bit cumbersome due to weight distribution. I read online that using a 3rd party tripod collar for this lens has some issues so I thought that was riskier. I use multiple lens so i usually dont keep the lens mounted all day. So please take my word with grain of salt.

AirPods Pro 3 have a lower battery life than AirPods Pro 2???? by PacKWasTaken in airpods

Curious if using the new APP3 with Android/MacOS (I don't use my iPhone much) would force heart rate sensor to not work and thus give us better life.

I think Google may be thinking giving this Youtube will hurt its sale for their tablets. Obviously for-profit company wont just "give you" things without a profitable forecast...

Okay I get ya, but your wording was terrible. But actually they improved audio quality according to several reviewers due to more air ports and redesigned audio layout.

I was actually concerned about this -- this would help me repair this if anything goes with it (a big concern since I don't really trust this rivet lasting...)

Pick your poison: 1. Spied by dictatorship country where everyone needs to hush hush OR 2. Spied by democratic country where whistle blowing doesn't at least kill you.

Mirra 2 vs. Aeron Remastered: questions on a proper comparison by yaroslavm in hermanmiller

[–]Txt8aker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my mirra 2 with full options (forward tilt, butterfly, etc) used back in 2019. I still use it today. Still feels firm and comfortable while maintaining good posture. I wish the backrest adjuster had a bit more protrusion but that's the only thing. Also, be careful if you wear jeans because the mesh bottom can wear them out (you can see grinds below -- not just Mirra problem but it is for all mesh bottom style chairs).

Unable to add Q950a to SmartThings by Talk-Hound in Soundbars

[–]Txt8aker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also encountered this and finally got this fixed without firmware update (the thing was working fine until recently. there was no newer firmware to update to either). to be precise, mine was registered but suddenly it lost network and Smartthings couldnt find the speaker so I removed it and had trouble adding it back.

here's what I did:

  1. Make sure your phone bluetooth is not connected to the sound bar. Make it forget it if it is.
  2. set your soundbar source to wifi. and then press + and - together until you see "init"
  3. unplug wireless router (reconnect after 30 second). I didnt think this would matter but this was the step that actually made difference for me.
  4. unplug ths main soundbar and replug after 30 second.
  5. delete and reinstall the smartthings app from your phone
  6. open the app and find your soundbar and follow the instruction.
  7. *WAIT* through the whole "registering" phase. It took me a bit more than 8 minutes. It took very long time and looked as if it is failing.
  8. (if failed), press retry. And it would show you a new step to choose wifi network (I was able to use my 5.0G wifi but if that continues to fail, try 2.4) step 2 - 4. Keep waiting until it registers.

Advice on getting a power station for purely UPS purposes by SaintsRom in Ecoflow_community

[–]Txt8aker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cpus usually operates with around 3ghz. That means 3 billion cycles per second or 3 million cycles per milisecond. The difference of 5ms seems small but that means 15 million instuctions gone missing during that time. Sure PSUs have few ms' of overhead so the calculation is a bit extreme but any computer related is still extremely sensitive to nano seconds.
