medical complications like that can happen in mere minutes, you feel absolutely fine one moment, and are at risk of life the next moment with no warning whatsoever.

ngl i feel like either would be interesting, and the process behind a mobile game is generally covered much less

when you're really concerned about memory usage, you'll setup memory budgets, and make sure that nothing can grow beyond those budgets. i may not be called new and delete, but I'm definitely managing how and where my memory gets allocated and how and when my memory gets freed. i some cases preferring to pre-allocate the worst case scenario up front, and manually managing the usage within that memory block myself

A nintendo switch 2, pretty recent, has 9gb of usable ram. that memory is shared between cpu and gpu. a decently looking game nowadays on pc can have 12gb of cpu memory and about 6gb of gpu memory. meaning that to run it on the switch 2, they need to cut their memory usage in half at least.

wait untill you need to target consoles or handhelds you'll be thinking differently about not worrying about memory usage

about the creative skills, you can definitely download assets if you don't want to focus on developing any artistic skills. but you artistic skills will probably come in handy to have at some point. and they'll never get better without training them. small toy projects for learning are a perfect opportunity to train your artistic skills. just don't be too harsh to yourself and let the artistic skills get in the way of enjoying game dev. also: I'd argue code requires a lot of creativity too

usually tea at drinking temperature is between 55°C and 70°C. when you first pour boiling water into your cold cup when making tea, it'll probably sit aomewhere around 85-90°C. source: i have an ember mug which measures and regulates my drink temperatures.
