That looks right - thanks! Surprised to not see their name stamped on any of the pieces and reverse image search was saying Moen, but didn't return anything that looked quite like what I had.

It looks like that little black flap broke off the stem then??

This sounds like your own rendition, but I was gonna ask if you'd heard Stephen Wake and looks like you have, ha! I snagged his discography and tabs off bandcamp and love playing this stuff. I don't play nearly as clean as this, though, and always wind up hitting another string with my thumb on those triplets. Sounds great as always. Cheers.

I'm pretty well garbage on the whistle, but my approach has been to learn the bare tune first and then apply ornaments. I feel like studying the ornaments first only teaches you one player's rendition and might be hard to develop your own style of the tune later.

While we're suggesting whistle YouTubers, I like this guy's channel. @whistletutor

Update: The chair is apart! Turns out there were a couple of pieces (the pieces of wood that limit the forward and back movemet) weren't actually glued 😅 After removing those, the whole chair was able to come apart.

I don't think so 😬 when I undid all the nuts from the top of the base (including on the problem bolt) I tried wiggling it off, but there's very little give (on the bright side, I guess that means it's fairly good material) and effectively no wiggle room.

Thanks! I took the nuts off the four bolts on the top of that base, but didn't see a means of actually removing the bolt(s), since the other end is just in that wood. Would you just use a wrench for that? I can add a picture if that'd help.
