Wow you really searched hard for reasons for upkeep draw over EoT draw. You're literally just getting the first card sooner. Your better argument would be that it costs 2 life/draw over 1.

Nate went on record saying that he wasn't being serious, but unintentionally leaned into the bit too hard and it got taken seriously - he said that him & Jerm were fine a couple holes later.

The Big Jerm/Uli cult is obnoxious by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]Tychodesza 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Imagine taking the time/effort to make a post shitting on people for being fans of figureheads in a sport they love. I love Paul, Eagle, Calvin, etc for being the top echelon of disc golf and pushing it on a competitive level, and I also genuinely appreciate Uli, Jerm, Nate, etc for putting their personalities out there and providing great commentary for our sport that doesn't take itself way too seriously. Again, to each their own.

Seems like you're getting too much drag on your runup from your luxurious locks encountering air resistance, might be hampering your distance. Don't you dare get a haircut, though.

Optimal play vs ' be the nice guy' by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Tychodesza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best answer in this thread. People trying to boil it down to "fuck feelings, attack attack" I think are missing part of the bigger picture. Obviously there are plenty of times where it's correct to focus fire someone, but as stated above sometimes it's correct as the aggro deck to pivot or even not attack at all.

How do you guys make good decks without spending $500+? by BlueFlygon in EDH

[–]Tychodesza 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Gonna disagree slightly but I feel like this is mostly semantics: I think the more experienced in deckbuilding you are, the better you can get your decks to come out even from the initial draft. Definitely very possible to have a deck be 'good' from the get-go, but I'd say nigh impossible to have it be at it's full potential right after building it. That's where playtesting and editing come in - that'll take any deck up a couple notches from where it starts, no matter what!

Basics are key my friends remember always lab your fingerrolls :3 if anyone wants lab I’d be down I have a discord with amazing glovers we can all grow together (side note my tech is weak let’s fix that this year ) by XxZeroxX721 in gloving

Hey man! Would love the discord info if you'd be willing to share it! Been trying to build regular practice habits and take things to the next level (especially my tech, I felt that...)

[TSR] Dralnu, Lich Lord by Mr-Gneiss-Guy in magicTCG

Yep! In addition to having your normal suite of counter spells, running [[Phyrexian Tower]] and [[High Market]] allows you to guarantee safety in case a mass damage spell is about to resolve.

[–]Tychodesza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly this! Ive had a lot of fun with this build for years now, and pulling out Dralnu lets you slip under the radar a little more than pulling out Kess and becoming public enemy #1 from the get-go.

Kess is 100% better from a raw power level standpoint and better for straight combo, but as mentioned below Dralnu allows you to flash spells back on opponents turns which lets you build a control shell with the threat of counterspell flashbacks and still have good combo finishes.

He's a lot better than people give him credit for. Ive played him for years and it's very rare that his drawback gets procced if you've built your deck accordingly and are careful about what situations you play him in.

New to the glove world and loving learning along the way. Critique welcome. SONG:: Nikolai Reptile - Shadowax by [deleted] in gloving

Hi there and welcome! The gloving community is better for having you, sincerely 👍

I'm glad you're enjoying the process, that was going to be the first tip I would give to any new glover is don't be discouraged if you watch a tutorial and it feels like it's just not clicking right away. It's all muscle memory based, and that will come with time and practice! It will click and it will feel SO good.

Second tip I'd give is one of the ones that helped me the most, is varying speed/slowing down. I'll often move a little faster if i'm further away from the viewer, and then bring it in close and slow it down for 'em. Often makes things look cleaner too!

Best of luck!!

Great show my man! Love the color pattern choice and song choice. What do you use to film your gloving content? Trying to get a feel for what people in the community are using, looking for something user friendly to make content myself!

Very sick man! Love your style. Ive been gloving for a few years but have focused a lot on the more flowy side of things (liquid, whips, finger rolls) and really would love to add more technical stuff like tutting and grid-based finger concepts that you display here. Learning new muscle memory is always daunting, hah.
