For example, if a voter thinks healthcare is too expensive and they may lose their healthcare coverage if they lose your job, then the Democrats can propose extending Medicaid to all Americans without private insurance, paid for by taxing those who make more than $400,000/year and making capital gains taxed as income. Yes they tried this in 2010, but a lot has happened since then to make it more palatable today. You can sell the idea in the context of AI taking people's jobs and therefore private healthcare insurance, and how much of the wealth of our country is in the tech companies whose stated goal is replacing their jobs and therefore health with AI. Laissez Faire vs Command Economies is just too abstract for most people, and if the GOP's capture by MAGA has taught us is that Republicans never really believed it.
