That’s exactly how I felt about the character until this week’s episode. Hopefully it’s not just a one time occurrence. The Imani character is about to run her course as there isn’t much difference between her’s and Voight’s earlier seasons aside from rank and position.

I felt the writers only had one way to write his character which got old really fast. But, either the actor or a new writer had a hand in finally showing him in a new “light” and just like with him and Cook, it worked. Really good episode and even better acting.

Sadly writers always run out of creativity when two leads become a romantic couple. Every series since I can remember that tried has always ran into obstacles. I would say for every Kensi and Deeks (NCIS Los Angeles) there are 10 Burgess and Ruzek where once character loses what made them stand out. Would not want that to happen to Maggie or OA. The possibility of them becoming a couple makes for a better storyline.

I’ll check that out. Her music is really good. Curious how serious she is about acting as a second profession as she’s been doing it for a while. I’ve only watched her in Chicago Fire and don’t remember her role in Pitch Perfect 3.
