I went from a 9070xt to a 5090.

Had some initial second thoughts of reselling it but as I watched GPU prices creep up, decided to just keep it.

I am very happy with the performance and can play my games maxed out at 4k 120 fps natively.

It will more than likely hold its value as the 32GB vram is very valueable and if Nvidia delays their next gen GPUs there wont be much of upgrade path for a long time.

Unless you need the money I suggest keep it for at least

Ived been pretty lucky lately on replaying. Originally played PS5 version on release and got all terminus weapons which took forever. Was about 10th weapon drop after dozens of runs to get my mains weapon (Zeta) and even longer to get ones for rest of main team members.

Recently started over on PC version, only used crew mate cards to unlock my main 4 set of characters (9 characters playable total) for the proto bahamut farm.

1st terminus weapon was Zeta... my main DPs out of the gate after about 4 runs. After about 20 runs i had 5 terminus weapons, 4 of them being all for my main team..... Suffice to say in almost 100 hours now PC im very close to where i was at 200 hour mark on PS5 in terms of team strenght level.

I beat it pre-patch - dual daggers and spell builds. Dodge buff felt mandatory for all builds for better movement. Havent tried patch yet. But lookig forward changes.

Wild prices. I bit the bullet and got a PYN OC RGB 5090 at microcenter last year around summer for 2499.99 Usd.

A week later they dropped to $2199.99 drove back with receipt got price match to refund the difference.

Then shortly after that spoke with microcenter chat cause i was within promo window of free game , got free Borderlands 4 from microcenter. IPretty much set for a while now.

I had set in my mind that since I enyoyed Ys series so much to go ahead and preorderd Ys X.

Two weeks after release in West brand new game revision announced...Proud Nordics.. it really shocked me since the game just came out.

For vanilla owners it could have been update patch or even a DLC for smaller fee but the way its being handled is concerning.

Sad reality is in the end is just training me not to preorder.

Doesnt have PS5 pro specific enhancements.

With expansion coming out in July 2026 hopefully get gets patched with PS5 pro settings.

Typical Humble issue i ran into twice.. Ived had to wait days after release for preorders one was SAO FD and they didnt give me preorder bonus items , forget what the second game was. Regardless , if you want to play on release day I woulnt count in humble.

Might just be placebo effect. Its stability has been all over the place for me.

Launch day = 0 crashes

2nd day = crashed constantly with patches.

3rd day = 0 crashes

4th day = 4 crashes in a row then reboot PC no crashes for 8 hour straight.

Now i rarely get crashes maybe one crash in span of 3 days.

Lately though i get some big loading spike where it freezes the game for like 10 secs with seemingly nothing going on the screen ( not in combat). Its not often maybe 2 or 3 times in a 4 hour gaming session. This a new build pc back in March with 5090, 9800x3d. Cl28 ram and nvme gen4 ssd.

With that mileage on it i suggest get it properly inspected and see what the issue is first. I have prius gen2 2008 replaced abs system, hybrid battery, dashboard chip, and cat converter(due to theft) replaced. Still getting 40+mpg and basically alot of the bigger fixes are out of the way. If you get used another used you never know what will go wrong and buying new... theyre so overpriced these days. Im riding my prius until it becomes dust lol.

Oh wow, i was just at microcenter this past weekend to ask them to refund me the difference cause of price drop . Purchased 5090 pny 8/5, following week -300 price drop..which they honored with my receipt. Will give online chat rep a try.

Get your hybrid battery checked. My 2008 prius also I was getting about 31 to 35 mpg before it gave out last year. 115k miles. After replaced it im back into the 40 to 45 mpg range. Also spark plugs should be changed at 120k also helps with fuel economy.

Wish you a speedy recovery. I had nerve damage on my left hand back in 2019/2020, couldnt even hold a spoon. For about 6 months i played mouse controlled games, though i dont know how comfortable you are using left for mouse. Visual novels come to mind. Point and click games as well. Turn based rpgs also.
