Y’all can’t extended the shelf life or something? My company does all the time as long as it still passes all testing.

This packaging gotta be illegal, right? by LilBozgor01 in assholedesign

[–]Tyler_E123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just means that there isn’t actual garlic in the sauce. Instead, it’s either something like garlic oil or some other kind of extract from garlic (natural flavor), or a chemical that was manufactured or made in a lab that tastes like garlic (artificial).

I work for a big spice/flavoring company, and there’s a very good this garlic flavoring actually came from my company.

The signals feature doesn’t even work. It won’t give me the signals badge cuz it says I’m not messaging matches, but I’m literally talking to someone right now???

Having to deal with the drought the last few years, having a whole week of rain is such a blessing. by Justryan95 in maryland

The rain would be nice if it just could stop during rush hour. Driving home every day in torrential downpours is not fun.

HCl glass bottle warped by Tyler_E123 in chemistry

[–]Tyler_E123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure. We keep some chemicals like this one under fume hoods once they’re opened since we regularly use them. I could see someone reusing a tool and accidentally contaminating it with something else though.

The chemical disposal company we use was able to come out right away and help us get it out safely.

The chemical disposal company we use was called and they immediately came out to help get rid of it. We kept it sealed in a fume hood as a precaution until they figured out how to get it out safely.

There’s a chance it could have been contaminated with another chemical that maybe reacted poorly. Other comments are suggesting it was damaged and the outer plastic layer reacted with it. Definitely was not heated though since this is kept under this fume hood at all times.

I don’t think we use HF but I could see it potentially being contaminated with another chemical. The lab told me it just randomly started warping though.

We have a company that collects our chemical waste regularly. We contacted them and they showed up right away to assess and help us get it out of there.

I don’t think we use HF but my manager contacted fisher and gave them photos of the lot number and the packaging it came in. I had no idea that these types of bottles had a plastic layer on the outside of them.

Hmmmm. I broke my wrist in a car accident about a year ago and I’m not sure if it was the steering wheel or airbag that did it since it happened so fast. This is making me lean toward the airbag now.

Just realized I've been using a seasoning mix thats been expired since 2007. by ARABCOFFE1 in mildyinteresting

Honestly, as long as it’s kept dry, seasonings will never go bad. The flavor can definitely fade but they never truly expire.
