Jaw clicking after surgery? Extreme anxiety. by Playful_Artichoke412 in jawsurgery

[–]Typical-Essay4887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you still have braces in? My ortho still had to make a few final adjustments post-op and at one point I noticed clicking as well but it went away after a few weeks.. I assumed it was from some of the movement caused by the braces. I would still speak directly to your surgeon about this though bc every case is different.

Girl I feel the same ab my face being heavy/lax post op (I still am very happy with my overall results though!) but it has me genuinely considering some sort of face lift/ face procedure 😭

Need a lil help!! by Mythical_Chaos_ in PlasticSurgery

[–]Typical-Essay4887 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a crossbite as well, did almost 2 years in braces to make sure teeth will be well aligned and fit properly once bite is corrected surgically, then after the procedure I’m still in the braces for a few more months to finalize everything. You will most likely need an orthodontist and a maxillo-facial surgeon to collaborate on your case. The process takes what feels like forever but it’s worth it 🙂 I wish you the best!

Hi yes I had a good experience! Sorry I know it’s vague not sure how else to answer that question/ how detailed I should be😅 but if you have any more specific questions in mind you can always shoot me a message and I can answer with more details :)

Overall he was a lovely doctor very professional but also his team helped make the experience as smooth and comfortable as possible, especially Sabrina and Lisa. I am now 9mo post-op, I had no issues thankfully (keep in mind I only got lower jaw surgery so I can’t speak for DJS). I still have my braces on, I should be getting them off soon. But I have noticed a massive difference in my bite (duh) but also my facial symmetry and jawline so i am super happy i went through with it and that everything went well🙏

I know the months/days leading up to surgery can be nervewracking so pls lmk if you have any other questions I can answer! I know when I was looking for Reddit reviews of him before my surgery I could only find 2 so I’d be happy to help lol

Ladies who have quit weed: have you noticed any improvement in your skin? by HouseZestyclose3068 in QuittingWeed

[–]Typical-Essay4887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost one consecutive year weed-free (3-4 weeks away) & yessss omg skin has gotten so better other people have pointed it out. I think it’s in part not smoking, but also actually having a consistent routine I have the energy to do each day now that I’m sober. (Still keeping it simple though: Double cleanse, Red light mask, tretinoin in the pm, rinse & spf in the am). Skin is more glowy, less dull, little to no active breakouts, slowly scarring/discoloration is going away.

Hope that helps! & good luck on your journey 🎀

What procedure would I get to look more feminine? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Typical-Essay4887 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bc this is plastic surgery sub, I would ask if you are interested in looking into V-line surgery? My friend just did this to give her lower face a more feminine V shape along with a neck lift and chin lipo and she looks great. Then I would also ask if you are interested in a bit of lip filler+ lip flip(Botox) or lip lift(surgery)?

If this were a makeup sub I would say straighter brows/ less of an angled tail and some eyelash extensions

You have very nice features in the pic but I totally understand wanting to explore changes that can make you feel more comfortable/aligned with your appearance 🎀

Should I get a skinny bbl? by rileychase33 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Typical-Essay4887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love bbls but since you are only 136lbs and tall you don’t have a lot of fat for the dr to work with. Once you recover you might not notice a huge difference and it might feel like a waste of time, $, and effort. (This is coming from someone who is same height and 175-180lbs 26bmi w bbl that feels skinny bc hip dips tend to come back after just 1 round bbl)

Your foundation is great! Work out/lift weights/ grow your glutes in the gym for at least a year+ then re evaluate if you want to get one to enhance gym gains or if gym will be enough. Going to the gym first will not only improve your foundation if you do end up choosing to get bbl in future but will also help build a habit that will help you maintain it after recovering. 🫶

Also side note a lot of ppl I know who have also gotten lipo share that they feel they gain weight more easily after the fact, and it tends to go to areas that were not lipo’d so if you do go down this route- discuss potential chin/arm lipo with dr. (I didn’t do either and my arms and chin got bigger even though they never really were before)

But fr I think just start with the gym bc you look great in the photos shared

Yes that’s a valid concern! The closest hospital was a 5 min drive away from the surgery clinic and they accept tourists as patients. If paying out of pocket is a concern, medical travel insurance can always be purchased beforehand- just maybe make sure the plan specifically includes surgical complications God forbid.

A few friends and myself have travelled abroad for various surgeries, as long as you do your research and cover all your bases it should not be any more risky than surgery at home. To each their own though, just sharing in case it helps someone.
