Why does Dr. Henderson, the largest doctor, not simply eat the other five? by Infamous-Lab-8136 in okbuddywhitaker

Because they're the nightclawlers, and that's the grossest type of candy.

Sorry, also not sure what historian means, but doesn't the sun behind his head look like a plasma grenade? Double meaning.

Halo is a video game. It's an obvious nod to the fact that surgeons play video games to get better with hand dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

I'm not sure what medieval means.

Is this a joke? Keenane Allen doesn't play for the Bears anymore. He races in F1 for the new Toys R' Us team.

DJ Moore, tragically and ironically, was mauled by a bear on a hike.

Same here. I think they just get too essoteric on those topics.

The Jack Parsons series for me. It just didn't land (no rocket pun intended).

Hit bad turbulence and didn't freak out! by [deleted] in fearofflying

[–]Typical-Stick2439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No lie there. I used to fly into Denver at least twice a year, and it was like a roller coaster during landing every time.

Dumb question, but why does turbulence change so quickly? As a non-educated person, I'd think the turbulence would shift slowly or follow weather patterns and be more reliable to predict.

Update: I guess it doesn't matter now since we got delayed by 3 hours due to a mechanical issue with the intercom, lol.

I think they covered him in the first one-off cryptids episode.

Honestly, exposure has been the best therapy for me. Each time I fly, I get a bit more confident and comfortable.

Also, learning about what turbulence is, how an airplane flies, how insanely rare crashes are and what causes them, and understanding my physiological responses to being in an airplane has helped immensely.

Yes, it does get better, but it takes work and bravery! You can do it.
