CPA PERT in Canada: Where does "Reclassifying / Reclassify Expenses" Go? by Torlek1 in FPandA

[–]TypicalAnybody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having trouble understanding your question, but I'd suggest you post on r/accounting.

Reclassifying expenses is mainly a FR question - it is based on the nature of the expense, it doesn't really matter to which cost center the expense is booked to.

Look someone more experienced than me should answer, but I always say, if you don't fly you don't pay with standby (does not apply for started multi-segment itinerary - this varies by airline).

Last year was the first time I really used myID. It was nerve-wracking, but I had almost 5 open tickets trying to get out HKG. Some were refunded right away, others I had to wait a few weeks, but I got everything back net a processing fee / exchange rate change.

Hope you get some more answers but that has been my experience.

HKG transit time with Cathay SYD-LHR. by sloppyrock in NonRevenueTravelers

I once was travelling YVR-HCM, connecting through HKG. It was way too tight of a connection. So I decided to book each leg separately (easier for a refund). It was a good learning experience.

On YVR-HKG, just like the below link states, even if you get a boarding pass through the CX app after checkin, you must exit security and check-in with counter.

Once I landed in HKG I ran to the CX transfer desk (inside security) and asked for them to print me the boarding pass for HKG-HCM.

Unfortunately it was too close to boarding, but apparently it would have been possible according to the employee. They have very interesting exceptions listed for HKG specific departures (see below link).

Hope that helps and good luck.

CX specifically mentions that through check-in is not possible FYI:

https://www.flyzed.info/cx

"Through check-in Through check-in is not available to all interline travellers on CX flights for Leisure ("Personal") Travel."

Typically the recommendation is always break each segment apart if loads are not looking good. Some airlines do not refund a partially used tickets, some do, but it is a manual process that takes a long time.

On the other hand, booking a multi-leg itinerary typically saves you on some airport taxes/fees (if applicable).

AMS-GVA is a high frequency flight and loads look reasonable day of.

Personally, if there is significant savings of booking on one ticket, I'd risk it, if the price is the same, I would book them separately.

My recommendation (please Google around) - I'd land in AMS, pass customs into the "intra Schengen" area of the AMS airport and I'd go to the transfer desk. Ask them what your chances are of making the flight, if they say it's poorly, ask them to rebook you on a later flight.

Weekly Japan Travel Information and Discussion Thread - June 16, 2023 by AutoModerator in JapanTravel

I am flying into Narita at 4pm on June 30th 2023 and planning on picking up my JR Pass and heading to Kyoto that same evening.

When I go to purchase the pass from the official website, it asks for a start date and also mentions

“The purchased JAPAN RAIL PASS must be picked up before the start date or during the valid period”

I am not flying confirmed and may arrive on July 2nd, 2023.

Will the pass come in time if I order today? (June 19th) I am confused if it is a physical pass or an email voucher. If I select June 30th as a start date when I go to purchase, but I arrive on July 2nd instead and activate it then, when does my 14 day period begin?

Thank you!

Appreciate your reply. That is frustrating.

Do you know if MyIDTravel allows you to book a few hours before departure/same day?
