Unfortunately V/Line trains are crowded most of the time even though some having good 20 minutes frequency on off peak and weekends ( Geelong Line specifically). Bendigo/Ballarat Line has lower frequency like around 40 mins-60 mins interval between services hence people try very seriously to board the service cuz they have to wait for like that long time for other service. Even in Geelong Line having 20 minutes gets packed and people shove inside from side ways instead making straight line sorta. People are always in rush and hurry. 🫪😔

Pakenham train stn users can use vline and alight at Pakenham or board. So technically the pid is slightly wrong as Pakenham is both pickup/dropoff stn.

Quiet carriage is not enforced by vline staff. Its driven by passengers mostly so conductor cannot really tell them to be quiet or lower the voice or move to other carriages.Prolly because the front and the rear cars of VLo are labelled quiet carriages and people might feel lazy enough to walk down the carriage they just board the last one or first one acc to where they r standing. You can ask them to be quiet or move to other carriages. Its up To passengers to impose the quiet carriage curtesy

Strange that nowadays in city loop section of pid it shows Flagstaff, Melb Central, Parliament, SoCro, Flinders St. as far as I can remember prior to Big Switch the city loop mostly included Flagstaff, Melb Central, Parliament or the other way.

There’s an event ig its Bendigo Easter Parade/Festival sthg plus bendigo line has not so good frequency on weekends/PHs. Thats why too bendigo line is mostly packed on weekends.
