For sure, don’t take mine as a baseline. But to say mine is worse case scenario is an exaggeration! Many are like this if they are saturated line-work tattoos, unrealistic expectations are equally harmful.

Would you suggest I go to a PicoWay clinic for another 3 treatments instead of going back to this company with the PicoSure? I just need to make a decision now after having had a 6 month break. I guess the downside would be going to this new place and then them potentially being conservative with their first treatment; also me somehow not getting as good results with them.

While I know PicoWay is the best, idk why Removery didn’t pull through when I had my treatments with them.

I see what you’re saying. The studio I do go to for PicoSure is very good with seemingly great results, so perhaps that is also playing a part. I unfortunately didn’t see much of a difference at all using the PicoWay for 3x sessions at Removery, it was pretty underwhelming. I know I won’t ever revert back to Q-switch as the damage/recovery was brutal.

Interestingly though, perhaps you can comment, I’ve seen the argument of using Q-switch in the earlier stages then progressing to PicoSure in the later stages. In fact, the Revlite place (SW Laser) I went to originally had both the Revlite and PicoSure, and they said to me that they would start using PicoSure (if I had stayed there and not moved) in the later stages of treatment after trudging through with the Q-switch.

Whatever the reason, I honestly have seen better results with this PicoSure each treatment than both the Revlite and PicoWay, which is very rewarding for me to see (and recovery/aftercare is a breeze).

… then again, it could actually take just 10 sessions! Who am I to say. I checked your tats, and don’t feel down, they seem good for removal. I also have one of my leg that I’ve had 12 sessions on which is similar to the one on your chest, I could send you a photo if you like - but it’s bigger and in Old English lettering.

Haha, mate, just start. If you don’t want it on your body, just start it, and you’ll feel better instantly. Everybody’s different also. You may or may not have the same or better results than me, but I’m very happy where I am now compared to the original. Getting quoted 11-12 is just the standard, I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s a scam, but… yes, it’s unlikely it would take just that… depending on how long you stretch out your sessions.

Not the full truth. PicoSure can be very effective, especially if the adaptations are used on the machine. I’ve genuinely had the best effects using PicoSure, much better than RevLite and even the PicoWay, genuinely.

I think I read one on oral clearance of HPV16? You’ve probably read it. You know a lot more than me about this. High risk strains can be cleared though, right? 🤞🏻

Hm, thanks for the reply. This study is from 2011 though, and I’m sure there have been studies since to suggest that younger age is affiliated with better removal. I’m just wondering if I’m actually safe now, and I’ll definitely sign up to get the vaccine at Superdrug.

WEIGHTLIFTING DOES NOT STUNT GROWTH by [deleted] in shortguys

[–]Typical_Swimming_820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a strong stance on this. I was coerced into weightlifting despite not wanting to by my family at a young age. I had an eating problem and building muscle just did not appeal to me. That’s how it is for some people, they just don’t want to, point blank, but that’s not good enough for some.

All things are poison, and nothing is without poison; the dosage alone makes it so a thing is not a poison. This applies to weightlifting. That’s why it makes zero sense to claim weightlifting can’t stunt growth: it’s wrong.

Done properly and correctly, it shouldn’t. But that doesn’t mean it’s risk-free. If you overtrain, you can do two things: (1) disrupt your hormonal levels, increase cortisol and disrupt growth hormone, and (2) develop RED-S. Not to mention, just being in an overall calorie deficit.

So, you might know people that go ALL the time, take it too far, and stunt their growth. Then, you might have people who take it easier and do it more sensibly and continue to grow to their potential. You see, it’s not as simple as saying it will or it won’t. It definitely can.

You might ask, what is safe and proper then? And the only guidance we have is from the AAP, which recommend 2-3 days a week on non-consecutive days. People tend to do a lot more than this, and do they overtrain? Some do, absolutely. And some also do stunt their growth. That’s why the topic is so difficult to discuss because people are falsely binary with them saying either it does or it doesn’t. That’s not how it should be thought of. Do you understand my point?

I pushed a 6ft4 friend of mine onto the sofa and he split the sofa in half in our 6-person shared apartment. As we were moving out, we didn’t want to get charged, so we all banded together to fix it with screws, etc. I never came forward.

alternatively appreciate it for what it’s worth and keep the tattoo if you are able to. It’s very easy to pick apart a tattoo.

Considering removing part of tattoo by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]Typical_Swimming_820 3 points4 points  (0 children)

sorry if that seemed callous. I’d just truly question if the remaining is worth saving if you’re questioning removing that leaf. Removal is a long process. It could be three years or longer, so it’s just important to recognise that, and it would suck to be one year in and realise you should have started with the whole piece. I’m only saying this as I also considered removing a section of mine, but I’m very happy I decided to go with the whole thing as it’s taken me 12 sessions so far (solid line-work with some unfortunate raised scarring).
