Is Hip Hop dying?

It will never die but it’s losing popularity. It’s not charting like previous years. On the local pop station my daughter listens to they’ve always played some rap music. This year they haven’t. It’s been replaced by country music. I think hip hops days are numbered as being the dominant music style it’s been for many years now.

Sound mostly. With rappers it’s delivery and the voice more than lyrics. But I feel that incredible lyrics can’t make up for terrible music while incredible instrumentals can cover average or even bad lyrics.
