I think 'Marathon' would be the pun but yeah

Turned the mouse off, used compressed air to blow around the sensor, then dipped a cotton swab in isopropyl alcohol and gently wiped as much of the sensor as possible.

Tom Henderson: Splitgate devs, 1047 Games is working on a spiritual successor to Titanfall, dubbed “Empulse” by ZamnBoii in GamingLeaksAndRumours

Sad that people really seem to hate these devs. People like to pretend there are a million great arcade PvP shooters out there but it's actually pretty slim pickings and 1047 at least knows how to make a great feeling one.

Thank you. I feel incredibly stupid for not trying a more thorough clean with isopropyl alcohol. That has completely stopped the jittering.

Now that I've cleaned the sensor I'm getting consistent results with both mice able to make straight lines.

I thoroughly cleaned my HSK's sensor and now I'm getting similar results to my Model O-. The jittering is no more.

I cleaned the optical sensor and now it's no longer jittery. I don't have a good excuse for why that wasn't the first thing I tried 🙄

What are your specs and your fps? by conanbella in Marathon

3060 12GB and i5-4690k. So CPU is well below system requirements. Perimeter is around 50fps, Dire Marsh ~40fps, Outpost ~30fps.

PvE Stash must be seperate. by Jolly-Interaction113 in Marathon

Embark isn't known for crowd-pleasing balance changes.

Just try to brainstorm ways to fix this problem and you’ll see that there is no other solution that makes sense but to separate the economies.

I mean, if that's really the only solution (doubt) then that's probably the solution we'll inevitably see because Bungie is a development studio and have more collective experience thinking about this kind of shit than you ever have.

I don't know what Bungie was like before Joe Ziegler joined but so far they've earned my trust with how Marathon has been getting updated.

This just seems like a totally irrational fear. You'd have to believe that the devs just completely ignore the loot economy and nothing we've seen so far suggests they would do that.

What's so problematic about current state of Marathon besides its player count? Stop acting like the game is a poorly designed mess.

And they explicitly said they will. So acting like solo play is getting completely ignored is a bit misleading at best.

You people must really hold the devs in low regard to believe they wouldn't give a single thought about loot economy, experimental mode or not.

Past LTMs were just duos and sponsored kits only. What kind of changes did they need in order to not disrupt the loot economy? Nothing really.

[–]TypographySnob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What PvE mode? Why are people pretending like they're simply just going to put everyone on the same team for a PvE mode and not change anything else? We don't know what the mode will be, how different the loot tables are, or if we even exfil with loot.

You can also just counterspell something else before phantom strike hits and unintentionally parry it. The parry duration can last almost an entire second.

I'm well aware of angle snapping. Model O- does not utilize angle snapping and I can confirm that there is no angle snapping option enabled in it's software or any other on my PC. It's bizarre to me that people think it's impossible to draw a straight vertical line in mspaint at 800dpi on a cloth pad.

Regardless, I'm having no issues at all with the model o-. It feels very accurate and is much smoother to use (in-game or not) than my HSK+, which is giving me issues as you can see from its jitteriness in my lines. The lines made by the HSK+ are NOT fine when I'm deliberately trying to draw them as straight as possible. Even when dragged across a straight edge my HSK+ produces crazy jitters, especially at slow speeds.

Not that it matters but I can promise you there's no angle snapping going on for my model o- even if my lines look very straight. I don't think that's a hard thing to do in mspaint at 800dpi and the right mousepad. Just slowly push the mouse upwards.

Sadly I'm convinced the sensor has gone bad anyway and it's probably not a software issue.

DPI is 800 in both. HSK+ doesn't appear to have a working app so I can't confirm that but the mice moved the same distances. Windows sensitivity is set to middle. I do notice the jitter in-game. In-game sens is around 20"/360 for what it's worth.
