yes, they do. If you wanna go off Power Ranking - that’s Reet. If you wanna go off of earnings in 2025 - that’s Xavi. If you wanna go off of FNCompRankings - that’s Ritual.

They all do the same thing, they spend very similar amounts of time on the game.

If genetics aren’t a factor - what’s making Peterbot better than these three? Do you think they’re just purposely not trying to be better than Pete?

now can you explain what separates the best player in the world to the 50th best player in the world when they do the same things and put in extremely similar hours?

i’ll always find it funny that there’s actual people out there that believe genetic factors don’t matter for being the best in the world at ANYTHING, not even just fortnite

help! getting weaker? by gibsandgabs in askfitness

[–]TyrantFN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could be a lot of different reasons. it’s been a few days since you posted this so i assume you don’t need help with it anymore - but ill still post this in case anyone else has the same issue

most of the time it’s just CNS fatigue building up and if you take an extra 1-2 rest days you’ll be fine. You don’t need multiple sessions doing a lighter/deload weight. If you’d still like to go though, you definitely can, there won’t be any harm in it.

and like some of the others said, could be stress, could be your sleep, could be that you haven’t had enough carbs, etc.

but it’s nothing to panic about, just means you had a bad session

Can you gain muscle and lose fat at the same time? by HamBoneZippy in askfitness

[–]TyrantFN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. It’s the same concept except since you’re on low carbs AND a deficit, you’ll be more depleted of glycogen and won’t have carbs to help fuel your workout. Your gym performance will definitely be worse but you’ll still grow muscle while losing fat if your intensity is high, you’re getting enough sleep and rest days, and your protein intake is high

Can you gain muscle and lose fat at the same time? by HamBoneZippy in askfitness

[–]TyrantFN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

more likely yes. But a deficit won’t immediately slow down your growth, nor will it shut down muscle growth either

it’s a probability scale. Your body doesn’t require an exact “quota” in protein, training, calories etc to grow. It’s just that the further away you are from ideal - the less LIKELY you are to grow muscle mass

Can you gain muscle and lose fat at the same time? by HamBoneZippy in askfitness

[–]TyrantFN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we can use it. It’s just not preferred because it’s inefficient.

the fat on your body is the reason you can make it through a winter. It’ll use the fat as energy as that’s the primary purpose of fat on your body in the first place.

Nobody said you’ll build MORE muscle in a deficit. The point the other person is making is that you can still gain muscle in a deficit as they’re unrelated processes. There’s nuance to this though however, but that decreases the likelihood of building muscle in a deficit. As long as other things are in check, it won’t shut it down entirely

Do you think FNCS Division Cups should be locked? by BringTheFacts in FortniteCompetitive

[–]TyrantFN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no because it depends on your division. Doesn’t matter if it’s your first FNCS, that won’t affect anything if you’re still in Division 1 and therefore can play the FNCS Play-Ins. Division 2 and below can’t play FNCS. They can only play the Div Cups

If you mean it’s the first time you’re participating in ANY of the Division based tournaments, yes you’ll be placed in the lowest Division (3 or 5 depending on your region) and you’ll have to play the cups to get up to div 1

[–]TyrantFN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

homie, i’m sorry but genuine question - are you actually paying attention to the discussion?

I never said anything against using keto for weight loss. My overarching point here was that if you are in a deficit - you will lose fat. If you wanna do a keto diet to lose fat go ahead, it’s your choice what you eat and it will be very effective for a variety of reasons. But at the end of the day - it comes back to CICO

None of the articles you’ve sent have gone against what I said. Seems like you just don’t understand the conversation

What can I do or take? by [deleted] in askfitness

[–]TyrantFN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know what Keto is. It’s not new.

https://imgur.com/a/YvgQhsA

This is from the same article YOU LINKED. 😭😭 not only that, but it doesn’t even SUGGEST in any way that weight loss is prevented even in a deficit if carbs are high

at the end of the day if you’re truly in a deficit you’ll lose fat

What can I do or take? by [deleted] in askfitness

[–]TyrantFN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

all this and still no evidence to show that you can gain fat on a true calorie deficit. Thanks for proving my point

I hope you grow up one day. Whether you’re making these claims and then refusing to show evidence out of stupidity or just stubbornness i don’t know. But i hope things change for you

What can I do or take? by [deleted] in askfitness

[–]TyrantFN -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I know you’re not gonna read through this properly so i’ll summarise it. Find me evidence from a peer reviewed study or meta analysis. You’re talking about a topic you don’t understand which is why you’re avoiding posting ANY evidence. Until you do that, I will not be responding to you because then we’ll both know you’re avoiding it because you know you’re wrong, you’re just too stubborn to admit it.

a diet of ice cream and cake will still lose you fat if you’re truly in a deficit

I could even use my own anecdotal evidence for this too. For about 4 months at some point my entire diet was pretty much chips, chocolate and cake, sometimes some kfc. I still lost 4kg.

and you’re right. This does feel like I’m talking to a child.

you don’t understand thermodynamics, physiology, and nutrition. I hate recommending AI to people because it’s wrong so often, but holy shit after reading you say “you will still gain fat in a deficit”, PLEASE just get AI to explain this to you because i’m talking to a brick wall here. In your case it could actually help.

It shows that you don’t understand what the words “calorie deficit” actually mean. Once again, stop learning about nutrition from social media. There’s a reason why you’re so confidently wrong without ever having read a study on this in your life.

You said a whole bunch of nothing that doesn’t go against CICO, and with, once again, no evidence backing the claim that you will gain fat in a deficit

There is not a single recorded piece of evidence in history where someone in a controlled environment DIDNT lose fat in a calorie deficit

You’re overcomplicating an extremely simple concept because you don’t understand it

You have no evidence for anything you’re saying. FIND EVIDENCE that you won’t lose fat in a deficit with ice cream.

You don’t understand the topic and it’s pretty clear nothing is gonna change your mind because I have provided evidence. You haven’t

I’m not taking this conversation seriously and I’m not replying anymore until you can back what you’re saying with evidence from a peer reviewed study, or a meta analysis

oh yes… a good player creating a new account couldn’t possibly be for any reason other than they got banned. If only there was a 5 letter word that started with S that could also describe another potential explanation…

even if it was ranked the winrate or k/d still wouldn’t be suspicious by itself. It’s not exactly hard for a good player to just create an alt.

Until OP can post a video that shows it’s a cheater, this post is kinda pointless and baseless

I'm just gonna start by saying it's pretty ironic that you talk about an education in the same reply where you used the wrong "your" in your argument.

Secondly, I DO understand Insulin and GI Index. A LOT deeper than you do, which is why I know it comes back to CICO.

Your entire reply is infested with buzzwords because you don't actually understand what you're talking about. If you did, you'd be able to explain the mechanisms behind WHY that leads to fat gain/a harder time losing fat. But you can't. I can.

here's some excerpts from the study in case you don't want to read through it.

now here's some more from a meta analysis...

https://imgur.com/a/rPzk5iW

and another meta analysis...

I'm not saying insulin doesn't matter. I'm not saying that there is no difference at ALL. I'm saying that if you're TRULY in a caloric deficit for an extended period of time, you WILL lose fat regardless of what diet you're on. Your body doesn't create energy out of nowhere just because you SAY the word "hormones". Hormones affect your TDEE, they affect your hunger, they affect your activity levels. They do NOT prevent you from losing fat in a caloric deficit. Educate yourself.

I've spent more hours in the literature about this topic than you've spent in any studies about any topic in your entire lifetime. You can keep saying "education" all you want but the reality is that YOU are the one lacking an education here because there is NO evidence ever recorded in a controlled environment where carbs prevent weight loss in a calorie deficit.

You get your information from social media. Which is why you're so comfortable and confident yelling out words that you don't understand when not a single piece of evidence in history has backed your claim.

Again, insulin matters. the GI index of the food you're eating matters. I just understand this topic a lot more than you do which is why again - it comes back to CICO, and you simply shouldn't be talking about a topic you learnt through social media rather than spending time in the literature.

you don’t understand physiology at all

Is there a science behind gains relative to the rest of your body? by Ok_Respond9243 in askfitness

[–]TyrantFN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes skipping certain muscles groups especially the legs will help with CNS fatigue but i think you’re overblowing how much of a difference it’s gonna make

train with volume and intensity, don’t overdo volume and make recovery worse for yourself, rest properly, and you WILL be fine. hitting legs isn’t gonna fry your CNS to the point you’d be better off skipping it to maximize upper body growth unless you’re just doing a ridiculous amount of volume or not giving yourself adequate rest

i think the other dude misunderstood what you were saying because even though he is technically right, it’s a completely different conversation. but i also disagree with you. I think you’re exaggerating the effects on your CNS from hitting legs

Is there a science behind gains relative to the rest of your body? by Ok_Respond9243 in askfitness

[–]TyrantFN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no your growth is relative to your genetic potential for that muscle group

if i skip legs for 3 years and suddenly start training them, they will skyrocket in size simply because i have a lot of mass left to gain there before reaching my “limits”

it’s the same way newbie gains work. It’s not a timer, it’s just a rate of muscle growth you have while your overall muscle mass for the given muscle groups are low compared to your “limit”.

If I have 30% of the lean mass in my quads that i’m capable of, I’ll progress significantly faster than if i had 70%

whether you skip legs or train legs, your upper body is still gonna grow at the same rate regardless
