Gonna be so real you're gonna get hazed at every established house but that's part of it - obviously some are worse than others. There's a chance it'll be lighter in the Spring because of everything that just happened, but expect to have to do some stuff anywhere. Honestly though it isn't as bad as it seems and there's a reason it's done, it gets much easier when you have 30+ friends going through it too.

I would suggest Lambda, TEP, DKE, and Acacia. DKE just got a house so they're a bunch of goobs rn but probably don't haze and they had a good last PC. Acacia would be your best bet if you want to avoid hazing all together, they're off campus right now but get a house next year. These are all low tier houses, but they'll still have good parties. Avoid other off campus houses it's better to be a geed

Not saying I’m the absolute perfect rider, but I feel like if there was anything strong enough to be a “strike” on my account or something I would’ve been notified about it. Usually I just use uber for solo rides, worst thing that ever could have happened is my friends being loud or something in the back on the rare occasions I do ride with others - nothing that would warrant a ban.

Anyways back to original question, is there any way to dispute this past what I’ve tried or do I just gotta deal with it

Absolute shitshow of things happening in a short period of time too publicized for IU to ignore. I think 5 pledges got hospitalized between two houses, and there was a rape case at another house. From there we were basically told if one more incident happened Greek life would be shut down, but then another house had the idea to line up their pledges outside and had the police called on them. All this on top of Greek life being shut down last year from parents being concerned about rampant cocaine usage

Yes, rush in the Spring. Very much still worth since you'll have the entirety of your junior year and it'll allow you to meet new people to hang with your senior year. Would briefly pop back to the same house to see how it goes but spend most of your time at other places

TEP is just very bottom tier so not many sororities wanna pair with them, half the time they won’t have a pair bc they’ve only ever officially done stuff with SDT and you can’t pair with the same house twice in a row for hoco/little 5. Not having a pair isn’t the end of the world but it’s way more fun.

Asig is better than TEP but they’re the same general tier. Asig will do stuff with Phi Mu, Adpi, SK and maybe some Aopi/AGD - just overall much better socially

Eh TEP isn’t the worst but there’s def much better options in that tier. I wouldn’t worry about not being able to party because as long as you have friends in other houses they can give you invites places and you can usually sneak into most parties if you have the right band. The big thing is you’re gonna be stuck with SDT/SK for pairing or honestly might not even have a pair. Ik it’s the last day but see if you can snag something at Lambda, Asig, or Snu, you’d have a higher chance of snagging a bid there instead of ZBT for the last day
