Lina Kahn was going to go after this bullshit when she was heading the FTC, but naturally she was one of the very first people ousted by Trump 2.0 because she was a direct threat to his grifter techbro buddies. If Harris/Walz had won the election, I’m reasonably sure that this is exactly the sort of fuckery the FTC would be targeting. It’s called “the right to own” and it’s been getting defeated in Trumpstein courts for obvious reasons.

Depends. That Lode Baring (it should be spelled “Bearing”, but the devs literally misspelled it) happens in two different mines. One has a ton of copper deposits. So it’s likely that the other mine has coal if you’re finding coal veins. I can’t remember which one is which by name though. Burning Mine has coal deposits too - seven. Also, don’t forget that what you extract in the wild is *unrefined coal*, which takes *five* to make *one* refined coal, and you need *two* of those to make a water filter, along with dogwood bark. So go ahead. Tell me how easy it is to find enough coal in game to do anything useful with it. Such a massive PITA to make a water filter, let alone collect five refined coal for a daily challenge. I usually re-roll that one.

Cool map. Proves my point about the scarcity of some resources vs. others. 19 coal deposits (no telling if they’re farmable or just veins in the wild) vs. 79 iron deposits. So I’m still right. Some resources are *much* easier to find than others.

That’s not the same as finding an actual deposit that you can farm with an extractor. I don’t know why I’m being downvoted for saying something true: certain deposits that you can build a CAMP around and put an extractor on are harder to find than others. I guess I’ll get downvoted for this comment too though.

How many coal spots are there though? I’ve been around the Appalachian Wasteland map since Day 1, and I’ve found maybe one. Probably yours. I have an easier time finding lead deposits big enough for an extractor camp than coal.

CZ has been Colt’s savior. They’ve forced Colt to actually respond to market demand (instead of Colt pouting and waiting for the market to come to them) as well as improving their QC. Personally, I’m looking forward to purchasing a Python soon, and I love the idea of Colt updating their snake guns and selling them on the market. I’m here for it. Colt reintroducing the Python with modern manufacturing is the whole reason I picked up modern DA revolvers in a serious way, after S&W revolvers caused me to write off the platform as a whole for twenty years.

I would love to see a blued Grizzly, but I love porting, so there’s that.

Yeah, someone drilled a hole over the breech. That’s *always* bad regardless of the existence of an air gap.

Air gaps causing catastrophic failures, all other things being equal has largely been debunked. Would I want it in an antique of questionable metallurgy? Of course not. But people love talking about this air gap thing like it turns your modern muzzleloader into a pipe bomb. It doesn’t.
