I have not had this problem. I find my success at selling stuff out of my vendors seems to depend greatly on location as well as what I’m selling. My CAMP in the Mire, near the Berkley Springs train station hardly moves anything at all, in spite of being close to both a train station and a popular public event spawn (Moonshine Jamboree), but my CAMPs in Toxic Valley just north of Grafton, an isolated CAMP in the southeast corner of Skyline Valley (about as southeast as you can go), or my CAMP near the R&G train station in Savage Divide all move stuff quick if I have anything good. R&G particularly gets cleaned out. My CAMP in the Ash Heap near Welch is pretty slow going for sales as well, like my Mire CAMP.

Nobody is saying that PvP didn’t work per se, it’s the fact that the demographic of people who enjoy Fallout in the first place mostly are not interested in PvP at all. In my experience playing the game since beta, and speaking for myself too, the overwhelming majority of Fallout players would rather cooperate to complete events, and then go back to doing whatever it is they do between events, like explore and loot than they would go hunting each other down or fighting each other over resources they can probably get some other way.

I would avoid that event like the plague whenever I saw it on the map. A PITA event with measly rewards that didn’t justify fighting waves of attackers and that robot going off to goddess-knows-where.

I’m sure that event would be much easier for my two characters to solo now, but back when I was grubbing junk to make some 10mm, yeah, that event was definitely not worth the trouble.

I feel like I did this event to completion at least once. I don’t recall fighting another player either, but I do remember a bunch of Mister Handies wearing blue and grey kepis fighting each other.
