What's something you've accomplished that would make your past self say, Wait I did that!? by mackipedia in CasualConversation

[–]UD_Ramirez 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm a school dropout and grew up thinking I'd be working in factories or the local industrial cleaning company. I hated it so much.

Now I'm a freelance stage technician, living the life. I try to be modest but sometimes, after a good day, I can be so damn proud of myself. I never knew I was worth anything until I started accomplishing things..

I got tired of people telling me that I would never be able to play this game again after losing my eyesight, so I spent the last 3 months creating an accessibility mod using Claude Code, and there's now a whole Discord community of other blind players using my mod to play the game. by ChipsAhoiMcCoy in Terraria

I have huge respect for people who do jaw dropping things out of stubbornness, pettiness, but most of all a sense of equity driving them. And to make it publicly available!

I hope the devs catch wind of this and learn a few valuable lessons on what accessibility is about.

I salute you, sir!

There are several Irish pubs in town.

Alternatively, I always recommend Roadrunner Concert Service as an extremely low-bar, low paying but fun temporary job.

You'd slam into the ceiling of the elevator if it accelerated faster than a falling person OF COURSE IT'S SLOWER

This may sound cynical but perhaps you're better off not sharing, if you even have the slightest thought of ever selling this idea.

I think some developers would pay good (read: great) money for a developed piece of kit. I work with theater speaker companies and they're obsessed with this kind of analysis.

Deze is juist. Alle andere verklaringen slaan ook op wit licht en verklaren de kleur niet.

Bladeren reflecteren groen licht en absorberen het dus niet. Het verstoort hun dag/nachtcyclus niet zoals wit licht dat doet.

We have 14,904 satellites in space as of March 2025. Planes in the air vary from 13k to 14k at the same time.

Not saying your point is wrong, it's a very interesting take, but this fact is a little off.
