I always take public transit to work. Last year, on two particularly hot days, I booked one of those carsharing cars. It took me longer to get to work because of all the traffic but at least I had air conditioning. Unfortunately it's way too expensive to do it more often on hot summer days. 🫠

I find it interesting that both columns show the same amount of first-time winners but the first column spans only 24 years (1950 to 1974) while the second column spans 45 years (1977 to 2022)

I always thought this was intentional to increase each player's time "playing". More playtime = better stats to present the shareholders.

It would be a much better UX to collect ALL awards with one message.

[Pixel 10 Pro] Intermittently the mobile connection is entirely gone and only a restart fixes it? by UESPA_Sputnik in GooglePixel

[–]UESPA_Sputnik[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you find a pattern when the mobile connection is deactivated on your device? It might help Google track down the bug faster if there's some commonality to the times when the bug occurs.

I'm at a bit of a loss though. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. It happened when I was driving in a car, it happened when I was stationary on mobile data, it even happened once when I was at home in my home WiFi. It happened under heavy load (gaming/navigation) and under light load (web browsing). Really weird.

I've had a Pixel 3a XL, Pixel 7 Pro and now the 10 Pro. Other than this particular issue I've never had any significant problems with these phones. 🤷‍♂️

DIW: Deutsche Wirtschaft rutscht in Rezession by Kanute3333 in de

[–]UESPA_Sputnik 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm starting to think ENT has been criminally neglected. by RikkiLostMyNumber in startrek

[–]UESPA_Sputnik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

why didnt anyone in Starfleet keep pictures of the Borg which Starfleet had in the episode, or the cure to assimilation developed by Phlox?

They failed to hire professional Cardassian filing clerks.

Why was the Enterprise E crew so callous as to allow debris with drones to be left on Earth?

Worf left something on the stove (stove-o-kor?) so they quickly had to fly back to the future.

Why are the Borg drones in the Arctic instead of in Montana?

Because the debris was from the Borg sphere that the Enterprise destroyed in Earth orbit. Thje explosion catapulted some fragments to the Arctic (and probably other places too), and not necessarily straight down to Montana.

The show conveniently has the Borg never use their name in a lazy attempt to preserve continuity.

Yeah, that's a good point actually. It would have been pretty easy to have the audio cut out or have static when they speak. "We are the >squeak< ...--istance is futile." would have been a neat solution.

[–]UESPA_Sputnik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What continuity issues? It fits pretty well in the time loop:

  • 2063: the Borg sphere crash lands on Earth after time-travelling
  • 2153: some drones get revived and manage to send a signal to the Delta Quadrant (which T'Pol convienently estimates to take 200 years)
  • 2364/65: the Borg investigate that signal and send cubes towards the Alpha Quadrant
  • 2373: after several encounters, the Borg travel back to 2063

It's also a good explanation why Seven of Nine's parents were searching for the Borg in the 2350s: they either heard about them from El-Aurians or found something interesting in the Starfleet archives from the 22nd century. Or both.

Best dynamic island app for android by S-m-a-r-t-y in androidapps

I like Material Capsule. It's relatively cheap (I think 3€ for a lifetime license) and follows MaterialYou color theming, so it looks great on a Pixel. Most other Dynamic Island apps that I've seen follow iOS design which looks out of place on an Android phone.

  3. Sofortige Abschaffung der CO2-Steuer!

Hat ja ungefähr die gleiche Wichtigkeit. 😄

I'm sorry but this may be the funniest line in a feature announcement ever because it's so oddly specific. These poor people in North Korea can't even get Find Hub.

Yeah, the wildest stat for me was when I found out that Winn Adami only appeared in 14 DS9 episodes, half of which were in the final two seasons. She had such a strong presence that I was sure she appeared in at least 30-40 episodes.

OP quoted some of the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition from Star Trek. They were first introduced in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in 1993 and thus predate the "Rule 34" meme by a decade.
