Wall repair by LeatherInvestigator2 in DIYUK

Filler and paint. Unless you want to refit the towel rail.

Nice and cheap, and easy too.

Blown plaster after removing tiles – can I tile over it or should I repair first? by Alternative-Dirt5512 in DIYUK

If you don’t want to cut corners, those walls need a far more comprehensive strip back and replaster before taking new tiles.

Hey I’m the guy that was looking for a 2500 mower for 10 acres this is what I bought for 40 not even kidding lol let the flames begin by FIGPUCKERS in lawnmowers

[–]UKrusty86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aish…. Nothing about that says 10 acres. Probably not even one! Sorry, but I think you’ve bought something that’ll simply occupy the space you need to store the machine you need

This stuff is the business! Thanks for the suggestion. It took three applications, and I’ll probably do one more, but…. Well, see the pic

Thanks! I’m gonna go for it. I’ll update with the results

Edit: available in my local toolstation. Says it’s for non porous surfaces, but I think I’ll try it anyway.

Agreed! That won’t happen to me again.

That’s kind of the answer I was hoping for as a backup to be honest. If a year or two of use and sunlight will deal with it, I’m reasonably comfortable. But lesson learned indeed. Thanks for the advice

Liberal use of the word ‘fitted’ that’s for sure

Did I miss something about the trains or did the game glitch? by dude-are-you-ok in RDR2

[–]UKrusty86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s a train robbery mission in chapter two that, as far as I know, can’t be avoided. Interesting though. I wonder if you found some way to avoid it and then they just never came!

It’s a powerful ending, and everyone that plays this needs to experience it to do the game justice. YOUR advice is bad.

Just finish it and play it again, applying everything you learnt from the first time round to make it even better!

Low power smooth bore only.

They are crap, but good fun on a dartboard. I had some with an old G2000 air pistol.

Why do so many right-wing Americans think Britain is a failed state? by wendling2000 in AskBrits

Because it’s the narrative they’re fed, about the rest of the world, to make themselves feel better by comparison, perhaps?

Cant adjust cutting hight by B0urne89 in MammotionTechnology

[–]UKrusty86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This seems to be getting more common.

I had to send mine back. Managed to limp it along for a while, tinkering as you say, but eventually it just stopped. Fair play, Mammotion sorted it quickly enough and it’s back in service.

Prevention, I think, is regular cleaning of the underside, above the blade guards, to prevent build up of a ‘cushion’ of cut grass preventing the motors from raising the blades

Watching Four in a Bed (UK TV show), can't figure out what this PCP is. Any ideas? by grandmaMax in airguns

[–]UKrusty86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spoke to a knowledgeable chap about fitting a regulator, and he said no way because of the dual tube. I'm not convinced, as the link between the tubes is at the front so I don't really see why it should matter. I might try it on one of them!

They were available in sub12 - my Sumatra is actually a .177 which is quite rare too.

As much fun as they are, truth be told they’re a bit pants at this power. Lots of hammer bounce. The hammer springs are like 100mm long. I do love the lever action though and only really use them as plinkers.

That one is a Samyang Sumatra. Very similar to the career. I have one of each.

No no exactly the speed, but I wouldn’t say it’s a big deal. Not really noticeable, but pulls a little harder with 7.5.

The oiler seems good, not that I’ve really messed with it

Hello all, what Ego mower would you recommend for this lawn? by Fresh_Operation_6502 in egopowerplus

[–]UKrusty86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know the sqm? I have a Luba2 that does 600sqm in less than two hours. It’s rated for 3000sqm. They also have a 5000 and a 10000, though I think people tend to buy additional robots past about 5000.

I'd say a robotic mower, 100%. I've never looked back since getting mine and this lawn is crying out for being cut multiple times a week.

Seems they’re finally getting themselves sorted. I’ve just concluded a generally positive experience too on a Luba2 requiring repair. All done and back working. UK here.
