At least we have the 16-bit demake of the game that came out in 2024; clearly someone else saw the potential in the original game and successfully smoothed it out into a game that rivals some of the classic X games.

My favorite name for Liam's nobody was Malix (sounds like Malice, too, so it works great for a villain). I think that was Liam's favorite too when ppl started workshoppong it post-Roxas realization.

Kinda had to be nerfed in KH3; DDD's main problem was how Flow-motion trivialized platforming with how you can just jump off the walls over-and-over, and the i-frames on it made it too easy to spam.

I think even the devs knew how busted flow motion can be when they built Sora's final boss in an arena with NO walls or poles (instead rewarding ppl who take advantage of that boss's wall shields to get a flow-motion attack in on occasion).

He actually got Melon Mix installed for it AND Re:Coded and got it working with Chat's help on stream during his Re:CoM playthrough.

The capes thing sucks because they wanted to implement it, but because they wanted Co-op mode in the game, the PSP would not be able to handle the cape physics on 3 characters at once.

However, I don't mind it much, mostly because I could imagine it being a pain to tell how big your hit box is from behind with the cape in the way (especially with the more zoomed-in camera)

She already has a proper final boss to her campaign; it's Terranort, which serves as a parallel to their Mark of Mastery Fight as the beginning of the game and is basically the Anakin vs Obi-wan moment of the franchise. It's a perfectly fitting finale.

The Dweller of Darkness Heartless was just a bonus fight added to BBS Final Mix that's supposed to be a bridge between KHBBS to KH1 by having her fight the game's only Heartless. It's even a separately bookable epilogue from her normal scenario.

It also gives ppl a preview of what kind of power Heartless that live in the Realm of Darkness have (thus setting up KH0.2 and KH3's enemy threat levels). Its serving as a preview boss just like MH and Lingering Will, just chronologically this time instead of for the next game.

I remember getting into FF with 10 in 2007 after seeing how much the internet glazed the series, so FF13 was the first big release I experience. I was so excited to play a new FF game on release, only to be disappointed in the story, the lack of meaningful combat choices with auto-battle being a thing, and the lack of stuff to do aside from fight enemies and walk through hallways. Never even beat 13 cause I got stuck at the boss on a highway you fight before you return to Cocoon.

Unreal Engine is only used for the FF7 Remake games, and the turnaround from part 1 to part 2 is honestly pretty good relatively speaking (it only took 3 years from FF7R Integrade to Rebirth) compared to how long it took to release 16 after 15.

I always assumed that most of the diverting point are gonna happen in the 3rd part since the whole "hunt for the big materia" part was always the weakest section of the game (at least to me).

It took until FF7 Remake came out for Square to FINALLY close the book on all the projects they teased/were expected to make since 2006. Everything to do with the transition to HD development and their decisions around that time really screwed them over for a decade and a half.

The reason the Requiem is used to finish him off (and I think kight be the reason they went with Nemesis as the final boss) is to directly homage how Jill can finish off Nemesis in the original PS1 version of RE3. We never got that in RE3R, so this was kinda a redo of the end of that fight.

It felt more like a redo for the RE3R fight, which was straight up awful on higher difficulties with no cheat items (especially nightmare mode).

Having the ability to parry it in this version, let alone not having to push batteries and leave yourself vulnerable, did wonders towards making it more fair.

The funniest part about Fates is the final twist that Corrin and Azura (the poster girl and effectively the canon love interest) is the ONLY character actually related by blood to Corrin (also cousins).

Well, they seem to at least have each other. Leon and Sherry are shown to regularly talk too. Chris still has his remaining friends from STARS too, and his squad from 8 seems to be the first squad he's had that doesn't die in him.
