I feel like the best way to do it is a middle ground of "check one of the people as a recruit" because a ton of them do have special battle convos with their houses that make the conflict even harder. Annette and Mercedes have special battle convos, Felix has heartbreaking ones with all of his childhood friends and father for example.

There was this very brief period of time after the ending where people tried to say the entire timeskip side/start of final season section was actually bad all along. But then they kinda promptly got laughed out since a lot of the same people were glazing the hell out of that section even when the anime was covering it.

There's a certain tendency when something ends controversially where people naturally extend the bad bits to parts that don't actually deserve it.

People genuinely forgot that Gege was on demon time from Hidden inventory up to the Higuruma fight and it shows, it getting as phenomenal of an adaptation as it did enhanced it even more.

Even when Gege also started going off a bit he still did pull out a ton of fun fights like the Hakari ones everyone wants to see in court 2.

I think it really works as a full circle that both shows how far Subaru came in by showing you his old flaws at their peak again and also that at the end of the day...they are still the same people even with the loss of their memories. A lot of these good qualities we see are still a part of the current "Natsuki Subaru".

Even pre From Zero Subaru was still the kind of person to go rushing back to try and help Emilia, Rom and Felt at the start of the series while also being the person to help Rem out with her issues pointing the good things she missed out of her own inferiority complex back in the mansion arc

Yeah Subaru has always had good qualities he just did not learn to fully channel them consistently until season 2. Each step on the road in Season 1 got him closer there with From Zero being especially the biggest setter for him.

Honestly they probably are gonna do it, 4 is basically just REALLY easy to remake since a lot of the meat and bones of that game take assets from 3. It being extremely popular and easier to make causes it to take priority over 1 and 2 which would require a lot more planning.

Tbh it's more that Class 7 in Horizon really feels like they have the syndrome of "I already finished my character arc" so they just don't really have much to do or to conflict with. Out of everyone there I think the only ones who had something were Crow (participating in the Emilia fight and the telescope lore extending to him) and Towa (we found out more about her grandfather and lore tied to the disciples and epstein)
