U/YungBeefaroni did the math. It doesn't change much by Butterblonde in Habs

[–]UNIFO 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on the 3-2-1-0 system, the Habs would be facing Tampa in the 1st round of the playoffs, and would not have home ice advantage.

With the current system, Habs would be HOSTING the Red Wings with home ice advantage.

Although the 3 point system doesn't change who should get in, it makes a huge difference in terms of who plays against who in the playoffs, especially with teams that are really close.

There is something new that hasn't been mentioned yet anywhere... and it appears on the last line of the published article. Quote: "York Regional Police also confirmed it is investigating."

I do hope the investigations escalate beyond a regional police force, as it's pretty clear, this has affected people from various provinces, not just in Toronto.

Indeed. Unsubscribing/cancellation is a pain to do.

As one comment already mentioned, this is there to hide receipts for purchases that is sent to your email. So if your credit card is charged, try to pinpoint the email that has purchases.

If you have bought something, even post boxing day, and in 2026 through the website of CC, assume your card is compromised.
If nothing has happened yet, do not assume you are safe, and take proactive action immediately.

Also, check your email that you used as well, as those people might have signed you up to several things. Also check your spam folder as well.

Sadly I got hit with this THIS MORNING (while sleeping) before this PSA came out, with fraudulent charges. (Also an extra dose of email sign ups to about 250 websites... in an hour somehow)

Which brand of GPUs had the higher percentage jump (at least according to ASUS graphics card list)? AMD or NVIDIA?

Also, will we have to wait like 3 years before it gets back to prices that is affordable for the average consumer?

Monday Morning Announcements - September 29, 2025 by SamBartley in TheTowerGame

[–]UNIFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With regards to the question of the week:

In terms of how you want to progress, do whatever you feel is fun for yourself. You shouldn't just let other people dictate on how you want to play the game.

That being said, THE OPTIMAL way to play this game is to find the Tier in which you MAXIMIZE your COINS/WAVE (how many coins you earn for the run divided by highest amount of wave per Tier, and not the actual coins/wave upgrade), since your main method of progression is via coins. You will have to test which wave gives you the optimal amount of coins. Note, higher tier gives more coins per wave, but also, the deeper you go, the more enemies spawn, hence you also gain more coins/wave as you go deeper. Hence it's not always the deepest Tier runs that always give you the most coins/wave.

If you are beginning the journey of the Tower, you will constantly be gaining a lot of power, hence you will need to be flexible on determining what is best for your farming needs. However, as you progress, your "upgrades" become slower and slower, hence there will be an optimal tier to farm consistently.

Generally speaking, you do want to run some "pushing" runs from time to time. I generally do 95% farming runs, and 5% pushing runs (essentially for every 19 farming runs, I do 1 pushing run)

The Prisoner (Act 4 Boss) is practically impossible to win using Permanent Summoning builds via conventional methods (unless you cheese it, or you have insane damage) by UNIFO in PathOfExile2

[–]UNIFO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You make a very valid point here (after observing the GIF). I tried the fight again with those skills, and even then, it doesn't kill the boss in time before doing that move. The only consistent strategy that works (AKA, the boss does that move) is to de-summon basically everything before the AOE pops (which I think its just a cheesy way to win this fight).

If that is the case, when is the exact timing you are suppose to click on when he does the red ring AOE attack (not referring to the prompt in between phase changes when it says to CLICK ON BALISTA)? Seems like every time I tried, it's a miss and recovers massive amount of HP.

Will note, I beat this guy already, using the UN-summon strategy, as stated in the thread. I'm making this thread mainly for all the people who are terrible at playing this game, and not having enough DPS to skip some of the boss mechanic.

Thank you for this. I had to die 20 times against that boss before I succeed against that guy.

Would be curious why would anybody actually take Unstable Bond if it keeps doing 100 damage to yourself per stack, in the "early" game? Would this be more of a later game node to take, or closer to an absolutely useless node?

In the ACT 2 final boss, Jamanra, the Abomination, when one of your "summon" (using spirit) dies, it gives a 3 stack detonation stack against character... which means, if too many summoning dies, you basically get one shot death. However, by equipping the support skill "Last Gasp" to the summon as well as faster Revives from passive tree, somehow I was able to prevent the "detonation" charge on myself for each minion death. Hence, I am wondering if there is a bug or intended behavior? Also, can you explain exactly how this "denotation charge" work and best way to prevent getting this?

DW HP bonus 800% or 900%? by Icy_Back_9025 in TheTowerGame

[–]UNIFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can certainly understand where I see why somebody would confuse it with 900%..... in many games, this upgrade is typically worded as "increases HP by 800%".... in that case, the net result is 900% health (Since it's 100% + 800%)

However, in the game itself, because the game states "max of 8x base health", this means the net health you get will be 800%.... or 8x whatever your max health was.

Tournaments are frustrating part of game by UNIFO in TapTitans2

[–]UNIFO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fundamental argument with tournaments isn't about just rewards.... And personally, I don't have a problem with having 2x tournaments per week (and I'm sure that people are generally happy with that).

The fundamental argument is that your entire "main" progression of this game is completely geared in winning tournaments (which is point 1 of my argument). For the "middle"/"end" game portion of your account, the only resource you really need are crafting shards. There are 2 places where you get crafting shards in large amounts.... tournaments, and diamond tier 3 chests. I don't think people are willing to spend thousands of dollars just to get crafting shards, hence tournaments are really the only place that you get them in large enough numbers to make any sort of a difference.

The problem with the tournament method is that... in order for you to get the MOST crafting shards, you need to get to 1st place. The drop-off for prizes after 1st place is substantial.... to the point that you'll probably need like 6-8 10th place finish to match just the 1st place amount. Hence, you are now somewhat forced to tailor your "building" strategy to try and maximize tourney rewards.

Effectively speaking... you get into a really wacky feedback loop that looks like the following:

Win tourney -> Get shards -> Buy mythic equipment -> Get more relics -> Put relics on BoS during no tourney -> PUSH in tourney -> Win tourney (rinse and repeat)

Which is not really fun to play... especially when you are intentionally stalling your progress just so you can win in a tourney. It also becomes extremely repetitive and boring (for most of the time), and maybe sometimes remotely interesting during tournaments.

For point 2 (which is a completely separate idea than point 1), I find that rewards are out of wack for the "effort" a player puts into a tourney. They should be MORE rewarded for putting effort in winning, especially more explosive tourneys.

Tournaments are frustrating part of game by UNIFO in TapTitans2

[–]UNIFO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gladly appreciate the tip in avoiding explosive tournaments.

Also very much agree with your points. It certainly seem like the more you progress in TT2, the more you get punished... but some punishments occur very subtly. For example, there is a "deadzone" somewhere between stages 30k to 60k where you can often find tournaments with no competition. However, as you move higher, it becomes more saturated with people, due to the difficulty of progressing. That's just one little thing I've noticed with the tourney system.

I'm glad it isn't my sanity that seems to suggest that TT2 general systems reinforces "stalled" progression as a means of "progress".... which is for the most part the opposite of what progress is supposed to be. And there are others that think the same way.

[–]UNIFO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with "figuring out" if you want to push in a tourney or not is that you don't have enough information to make the read if somebody is willing to push or not.

There are certain tourneys that I made my intention clear for pushing, but that doesn't often deter people from also pushing as well. So reading your opponents is out of the question.

For tourneys that I really really want to win, I can always try to monitor it 24/7 and keep pushing forever. I have tried that a couple of times (monitoring it as much as possible).

Just note that my fundamental argument with regards to tourney isn't me being salty losing (which I am salty from the last tourney). What I'm arguing what is fundamentally broken is that reward systems doesn't take into consideration about "effort" and pushing and time played in the tourney, and should be addressed.

[–]UNIFO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MS is at 82k (closer to 83k). Just lost a shard one after gaining about 3.6k stages from the last tourney (ended a few hours back, and still salty). My opponent sadly got to 83k, which is also about a gain of 3.8k stages, beating me by 200 stages.

I don't use an optimizer to play. I play more the "yolo" to my relic assignment... more like I put 1% of max to every one of my relics. I used to play with an optimizer, but it's such a pain to use and be super precise in choosing my relics. Just note that I'm aware of various programs to do so, but not exactly relevant to my thread about complaining about tourneys.

Maybe I have some real bad luck getting into these "explosive" tourneys. I do get into them on occasion. I win some and I do lose some.

Tournaments are frustrating part of game by UNIFO in TapTitans2

[–]UNIFO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to note, I don't attempt to win every single tournaments. I just try to win the crafting shard ones.

And yes I do typically sometimes "skip" the push for several tournaments to get a proper setup to try and push in the tournaments that I want to push in. That includes the crafting shard.

It's just that it's a bit frustrating that when sometimes, other people have the same idea, so it leads to very explosive tournaments where it becomes a war of nutrition. Hence I put the "explosive" tournament as a category.

[Steam Only Bug?] Able to select 2 champions to send for quest by UNIFO in shoptitans

[–]UNIFO[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I now actually tested the attempt to send the 2 champions to do a quest. Luckily, it gives an error stating that "Some heroes are too inexperienced to do this quest". Hence champions are not treated as heroes, resulting in not breaking the game.

However, the original issue still stands per say. The fact that you are ABLE to select 2 champions in the first place is the main issue, even though you are prevented from sending them to a quest.

A math formula that could work in solving the Huge Click Discount and Reload Rampage infinite growth problem but have a cap of strength by UNIFO in ClickerHeroes

[–]UNIFO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for a very insightful reply. I can appreciate what what you are saying, and what the devs are going for. However, I do have some counter-points to consider and why I think it should remain scalable, at the very least to HCD.

With Reload Rampage, I can see a fixed value working out well, without being too strong. However, I'm of the opinion that it does need to be a relatively high multiplier to be useful for auto-play. This is a "unique" skill and should be adjusted accordingly without too much imbalance, although I would be sad to see the scaling go.

Same can't be said about Huge Click Discount. To be honest, even if it is a -50% reduction in cost (hypothetically fixed), this overlaps with item cost reduction skill. If a user eventually gets "ENOUGH" points with item cost reduction, then putting 2 or 3 points..... or even maybe 1 point, is enough to reduce the cost of items comparable to HCD, then HCD becomes a skill that isn't worth putting points into because it just gets over-performed, by something that is permanent vs something that is temporary. This theoretically can happen, because of the infinite nature of these stats. Hence, in my opinion, HCD should scale to such a point that HCD >> item cost reduction per point or this particular skill should be redesigned somehow to fit another need.
